AQUATICS & SAFETY COUNTDOWN TO SUMMER Pool season is right around the corner and the Reston Aquatics team has been busy to prepare the pools for your enjoyment.

North Shore pool will be closed in 2020 due to substantial construction and upgrade projects. Facility hours have been accommodated at alternate locations.
SCHEDULE INFO The pool schedule is developed annually based on multiple factors including; facility condition (necessary repairs similar to the above), available workforce, historical usage data, and budget allotment. Our region, and the country as a whole, has been experiencing a growing lifeguard shortage for many years, and we are working to find new ways to recruit and retain lifeguards. Applications for all aquatics positions are open at https://careers.reston.org and all ages are encouraged to apply. Several pools will open in mid-June of 2020, when the public school year has ended, instead of the traditional Memorial Day weekend. This change in hours is safety oriented as we ensure that all open facilities are adequately covered to respond to customer needs. The late season pool hours (August 10 and beyond) will be included in the next edition of the Programs and Activities guide and will be posted on www.reston.org when confirmed.
