From Backyard Beginnings to Nationwide Expansion. How Adam Goldberg Reinvented the Bagel Experience with PopUp Bagels
Adam Goldberg didn’t set out to disrupt the bagel industry—he just wanted to make a better bagel. What started as a backyard passion project has grown into PopUp Bagels, a nationally recognized brand known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and community. With the tagline "Not Famous, But Known," the brand has carved out a loyal following by reinventing the bagel experience. In this exclusive interview, Goldberg shares his journey, the strategic decisions behind his success, and his vision for the future.
The amount of people who tell us, ‘We need your bagels in our city!’ is what drives us to expand—it’s about bringing that authentic experience everywhere
Carece Slaughter: Adam, PopUp Bagels began as a backyard endeavor and is now a household name, even attracting investments from notable figures like Paul Rudd and Michael Phelps. How did this journey unfold?
Adam Goldberg: It all started in my home kitchen during the pandemic. I was making sourdough bread, like many people at the time, but one day, I decided to try making bagels instead. I wanted something fun, something nostalgic. When I finally went back to a traditional bagel shop, I realized I didn’t miss their bagels—I missed the bagels of my youth, the ones that smelled like pure, fresh-baked dough and not deli ingredients.
I started giving bagels away to friends and family, and soon I had to start selling them just to keep up. The community in Westport and beyond really rallied around us, offering kitchen space and support. Before I knew it, we were being named the best bagels in Connecticut
while still baking from home. That level of community support has fueled our growth, and now we’re on a path to national expansion.
CS: Franchising is a huge milestone. What qualities do you look for in potential franchise partners?
AG: We’re looking for experienced operators with strong reputations in the industry—people who truly understand and embrace our vibe. When we announced our franchise plans, we had over 1,000 inquiries in the first month alone. But we’re being selective. We want partners who understand that the simplicity of what we do is the beauty of it. They need to be committed to keeping the product and experience consistent.
We’re not looking for someone who wants to start adding sandwiches or turning us into a coffee shop. PopUp Bagels is about the purity of a high-quality, freshly baked bagel, and we want franchisees who share that vision.
Some of the best trends come from necessity. No knives? Just grip, rip, and dip.
CS: You recently appointed Tory Bartlett as CEO. What prompted this decision, and how do you see your role evolving?
AG: The most important thing in growing a business is surrounding yourself with amazing people. While I have a strong vision for the brand, executing a national expansion requires expertise beyond my own. Tory has extensive experience in rolling out franchises and managing large-scale operations. Bringing him in allows me to focus on maintaining the brand’s essence—innovation, quality, and community—while he handles the operational execution of our growth strategy. It’s a move that ensures we stay true to who we are, no matter how big we get.
CS: Your "Grip, Rip, and Dip" concept is a game-changer in the bagel world. What inspired it?
AG: It actually started organically. When we were only open on weekends, we’d see people pick up a dozen bagels, drive 20 feet, pull over, and immediately start eating them—ripping them apart and dipping them into their schmear cups right in their cars. It became clear that people were enjoying our bagels differently.
So when we opened in New York, we leaned into that experience. My wife, Jen, suggested we paint "Grip, Rip, and Dip" over the counter so people would know—this is how you’re supposed to enjoy them! It reinforced our idea
that bagels don’t need to be sliced or turned into sandwiches. They can be shared and experienced in a way that brings people together.
CS: You’ve introduced some unique schmear flavors—Oreo cream cheese, sweet basil butter. How do these ideas come about?
AG: It starts with community and collaboration. Early on, we partnered with local businesses, asking, "What would you like to create?" Now, we’re working with major brands across food, fashion, and other industries. A lot of ideas come from our employees and customers. Sometimes we’re just eating something and think, "Hey, this would make an incredible cream cheese!" But even with all these fun flavors, about 70% of our weekly schmear orders are for our classic scallion cream cheese— because when you make something right, people love it.
CS: Community has been a big part of your journey. How do you give back?
AG: Community support built this brand, and we take giving back seriously. We sponsor Little League teams, support school fundraisers, donate to local organizations, and get involved in as many causes as we can. We receive thousands of donation requests, and while we can’t say yes to everyone, we do our best. PopUp Bagels is about more than just food—it’s about bringing people together, and that extends beyond our storefronts.
LOOKING AHEAD: THE FUTURE OF POPUP BAGELS
CS: What’s next for PopUp Bagels? Where do you see the brand in five years?
AG: In five years, we plan to have 150 to 200 locations nationwide, and potentially international expansion. It seems fast, but every move is calculated. We’re making sure we have the right partners and the right team to maintain our quality and experience. The most exciting part? We’re not just expanding—we’re bringing authentic, high-quality bagels to communities that have been asking for them.
In the next year alone, we’re opening multiple locations up and down the East Coast—Long Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Charleston, and throughout Florida. We’re also working on a West Coast and Texas expansion for 2026. So if we’re not in your city yet—stay tuned. We might just roll out in your neighborhood next!
PopUp Bagels is constantly on the move. Follow their journey and vote for where they should pop up next on Instagram: @popupbagels. And for store locations and franchise opportunities, visit www.popupbagels.com

Meet the visionary behind Czinger Vehicles and Divergent Technologies, who is redefining speed, sustainability, and the future of manufacturing.
Innovation in the automotive industry has long been defined by incremental improvements— tweaks to aerodynamics, marginal gains in fuel efficiency, and the occasional radical redesign. But few have dared to reimagine the very DNA of car manufacturing itself. Enter Lukas Czinger, Founder, President & CEO of Czinger Vehicles and Divergent Technologies, a visionary who is rewriting the rules of high-performance automotive engineering.
At just 30 years old, Czinger stands at the helm of a manufacturing revolution, one that merges AI-driven design, 3D printing, and robotic assembly to craft the world’s most advanced hypercars. The 21C, Czinger Vehicles' flagship hypercar, is a masterpiece of precision
engineering—lighter, faster, and more sustainable than anything before it. But the ambition behind Czinger and Divergent extends far beyond automotive luxury. Czinger envisions a future where adaptive manufacturing transforms entire industries, reducing environmental impact while pushing the boundaries of human innovation.
In this exclusive interview, we delve into Czinger’s journey—from his early inspirations to the groundbreaking patents that underpin his company’s success. We explore how he and his father, Kevin Czinger, are disrupting a centuryold industry and what the future holds for a manufacturing revolution that could change the world.
Carece Slaughter: Czinger Vehicles has been a disruptor in the hypercar industry, particularly with the 21C. What inspired you and your father to tackle automotive manufacturing from a new angle, using 3D printing and AI optimization? How did this vision evolve from Divergent to Czinger Vehicles?
Lukas Czinger: My father and I started this business close to a decade ago, and it was born out of a shared vision—to create something enduring. I studied electrical engineering at Yale and worked in investment banking before diving into this venture. My father had been involved in electric vehicle innovation before, and through those experiences, we saw the immense inefficiencies in traditional automotive manufacturing.
The capital intensity of legacy car manufacturing—billions poured into massive, inflexible factories—left little room for innovation. We asked ourselves: What if we could start from a blank slate? What if we could design, manufacture, and assemble cars with a fundamentally new approach?
Divergent Technologies was the answer. It’s not just about making better cars—it’s about reinventing the entire process. We developed a design software and a full-system manufacturing platform, combining AI-driven generative design with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and robotic assembly. Czinger Vehicles was born within Divergent as an expression of that technology—a way to push the system to its limits with the world’s most advanced hypercar.
Czinger Vehicles is developing the most technologically advanced, highestperforming hypercars in the world—but Divergent is the system that will change the future of manufacturing at scale.
CHANGING THE GAME
CS: You currently hold over 60 patents, with the larger company surpassing 600—many of which are reshaping the very foundation of automotive engineering. Can you share insights into the most pivotal innovations and their impact on the industry?
LC: Our approach has been to solve problems that didn’t have known solutions. That’s why our patents exist—they are born from necessity.
One of the most fundamental breakthroughs is in robotic assembly and precision control. Traditional automotive manufacturing relies on repeatability, meaning robots are programmed to follow exact movements. But we prioritize accuracy over repeatability, allowing us to use AI-driven programming to achieve 20 times higher precision than standard robotics.
Another key innovation is in materials science. We don’t use traditional welding—our structures are adhesively bonded, making them lighter and stronger. We even developed a UVcurable adhesive that cuts curing time from 60 seconds to 2-3 seconds while doubling the strength. These breakthroughs allow us to produce high-performance, aerospace-grade structures at a fraction of the weight and environmental impact.
CS: The 21C has set multiple track records, cementing itself as the fastest street-legal hypercar. What challenges did you face in blending performance with sustainability?
LC: Sustainability has been a core principle of our mission from the start. Our design and manufacturing process alone reduces energy consumption by 30% compared to traditional methods. Because our chassis are 20-40% lighter, they require significantly less raw material—the most direct way to improve sustainability.
From a performance standpoint, the 21C is a hybrid hypercar, combining EV motors with a highly efficient V8 that meets California’s stringent CARB emissions standards. We’ve also developed our engine to run on net-zero fuels, meaning it can operate with a completely neutral carbon footprint.
At the same time, Czinger Vehicles serves as a proving ground for technology that will eventually trickle down into mainstream production. For example, we developed a next-generation integrated brake and suspension system, which is 30% lighter than anything else on the market. That technology, once scaled, will be available for high-volume manufacturers, creating an industry-wide shift toward better performance and efficiency.
CS: You are at the helm of AI-driven and 3Dprinted manufacturing. What do you see as the next major leap in automotive innovation, and how is Czinger Vehicles prepared to lead that charge?
LC: The future is in net-zero fuels and adaptive manufacturing. While electric vehicles are important, the energy density of carbon-recycled methanol and other synthetic fuels offers a more sustainable long-term solution.
On the manufacturing side, we’re building a network of fully adaptive, decentralized factories—each capable of producing multiple vehicle types and aerospace components without downtime or retooling. Imagine a world where small teams or even individual engineers can design a structure, submit it to a local factory, and receive a fully manufactured part within days. That’s the future.
CS: You’ve entered your 30s as the CEO of two groundbreaking companies. How do you manage the dual roles of running a cutting-edge manufacturing company and a performance car brand?
LC: I’ve always believed that decision-making is the most critical skill of leadership. About five years ago, I set a personal goal to become one of the best decision-makers in the world. That requires a structured approach:
1. Getting the right information.
2. Analyzing that information effectively.
3. Executing decisions efficiently.
Beyond that, I focus on building a team of leaders. Each executive at Czinger and Divergent is capable of running a company in their own right. That level of talent and accountability ensures that our operations remain seamlessly integrated and always moving forward.
We’re not just designing cars— we’re re-engineering the entire manufacturing process, making it faster, more precise, and significantly more sustainable.
As the conversation draws to a close, it’s clear that Lukas Czinger is not just designing hypercars—he’s engineering a new industrial paradigm. His vision extends far beyond the 21C, encompassing a future where adaptive, AI-driven manufacturing democratizes production across industries.
“We are on a mission,” Czinger says with conviction. “Every member of our team wakes up knowing exactly how today’s work contributes to our long-term goals. That clarity creates conviction, and conviction breeds commitment.”
With Czinger Vehicles breaking records and Divergent Technologies laying the foundation for a new era of manufacturing, one thing is certain: the future of automotive innovation is already here—and it has Lukas Czinger’s name on it.

Pushing the Boundaries of Automotive Excellence with Revolutionary Technology and Unmatched Performance
Stepping into the Czinger factory is like walking into the future. In an era where automotive excellence is often dictated by tradition, Czinger has broken away from convention, forging an entirely new path. My visit to their Los Angeles facility was nothing short of revelatory—a rare glimpse into the world of next-generation hypercar manufacturing. Here, cutting-edge technology, engineering brilliance, and an unyielding commitment to performance converge to redefine the boundaries of what a hypercar can be.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the precision and focus of the Czinger team. There was no chaos—only an orchestrated dance of innovation and execution. Engineers and designers moved with purpose, each immersed in the fine details of building some of the world’s most advanced vehicles. Unlike traditional automotive plants filled with massive assembly lines and mechanical repetition, Czinger’s facility is something else entirely—a technological symphony where AI-driven design, 3D printing, and revolutionary assembly processes come together in perfect harmony.
My guide for the day, Max Morice, Czinger’s Brand Manager, took me through the factory with an infectious enthusiasm, offering insight into the company’s latest advancements. As we moved through the facility, he introduced me to David O’Connell, Czinger’s Chief Designer, who shared the philosophy behind the 21C’s striking aesthetic. Later, I had the opportunity to sit down with Lukas Czinger, Founder, President & CEO of Czinger Vehicles and Divergent Technologies—a conversation that revealed the deep passion and visionary leadership driving Czinger’s success.
Czinger’s design philosophy is unlike anything I’ve encountered before. Rather than following conventional manufacturing methods, the company leverages computational engineering and additive manufacturing to craft parts that are both impossibly complex and functionally superior. Walking through their production space, I saw robotic arms meticulously assembling chassis components that looked more like works of art than traditional car parts. Each structure is optimized for weight, aerodynamics, and strength, resulting in hypercars that are
as breathtaking in form as they are formidable in function.
As I ran my fingers across the smooth, sculpted surfaces of the 21C, I couldn’t help but marvel at the impossibility of it all. Every curve, every aerodynamic line had been engineered with absolute precision—not for aesthetics alone, but for efficiency and performance. The inline seating arrangement, a bold departure from industry norms, is yet another testament to Czinger’s commitment to maximizing both aerodynamics and driver engagement.
Numbers rarely do justice to a vehicle’s essence, but with Czinger’s 21C, the figures are staggering. The factory tour included an exclusive deep dive into the engineering marvel that powers this machine. At the heart of the 21C lies a bespoke 2.88-liter twin-turbocharged V8, augmented by two high-output electric motors for the front wheels. The result? A jaw-dropping 1,350 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of just 1.9 seconds. As the team walked me through the hybrid system’s intricate workings, I gained a deeper appreciation for the artistry hidden beneath the carbon-fiber skin.
Beyond straight-line speed, the 21C has shattered records at some of the world’s most demanding circuits, including Laguna Seca and the Circuit of the Americas. Listening to the engineers discuss the fine-tuned aerodynamics, advanced cooling systems, and relentless testing process, it became clear that this was no ordinary hypercar—it was a weapon built for dominance.
What sets Czinger apart is not just their cars— it’s how they build them. As I toured the facility, I was introduced to their proprietary production system, which merges AI-driven design with 3D printing in a way that defies traditional automotive manufacturing. Unlike standard methods that require expensive tooling and manual adjustments, Czinger’s approach allows for rapid prototyping and unparalleled efficiency. The result? Complex geometries and structures that traditional machining simply cannot produce, all while reducing waste and optimizing material use.
The company’s latest facility expansion, known as Area 21, is a testament to their rapid evolution. They walked me through their newest production cells, where automated precision meets human craftsmanship. The process felt more like the assembly of a high-performance fighter jet than a car. Every component, from the chassis to the suspension arms, is designed and manufactured with an attention to detail that borders on obsessive.
Q: How is the Czinger 21C different from traditional hypercars?
A: Unlike conventional hypercars, the 21C is engineered using AI, manufactured through 3D printing, and assembled by high-precision robotics—resulting in a vehicle that is lighter, faster, and more sustainable.

Today, the Bennati family’s descendant, entrepreneur Gregory (“Greg”) Bennati, is transforming this storied estate into Cala Bennati Wines—a brand that blends time-honored craftsmanship with a forwardthinking vision. From eco-friendly innovations to making high-quality wine a more accessible luxury, Bennati is bridging Italian heritage and contemporary tastes. In this exclusive Q&A, Bennati reveals how he honors his family’s legacy while bringing Venetian spirit into today’s trendiest dining scenes—just in time for festive springtime family celebrations.
Q: Your family’s vineyard dates back over 500 years. Can you share the backstory of Tenuta Villanova and how you became involved?
Greg Bennati: My great-grandfather was originally a shipbuilder from Venice who then went on to own hotels. Eventually, he bought the vineyard—founded in 1499—which makes it one of the oldest in the Friuli Venezia Giulia
region. For generations, different relatives took turns running it, keeping everything very traditional. Even though our grapes were sometimes shipped privately under other labels, my dream was to create our own brand from that same vineyard and share it with a broader audience. That’s how Cala Bennati Wines started—a way to honor my heritage and present our Pinot Grigio in the family’s timeless style.
Q: Your Pinot Grigio stays true to the family’s winemaking methods. How do you remain faithful to tradition while still innovating?
GB: My family always instilled in me the importance of consistency and tradition. They essentially told me, “No matter what, you do not change the way it’s made.” And I’ve followed that. Our harvest is still done by hand so we’re only selecting the best grapes, and the wine is aged first in wooden casks, then steel tanks before bottling—just like we’ve done for ages.
Gather your loved ones for a bright, refreshing taste of Italian spring. Wine is a lifestyle, not just a drink.
What I have modernized are some behind-thescenes elements: making the vineyard more sustainable and adapting more eco-friendly practices. But the overall profile—the taste we’ve loved for centuries—remains the same.
Q: You’ve mentioned introducing solar panels and other eco-friendly measures. Why is sustainability so central to your vision?
GB: I’ve always been passionate about sustainability. Growing up, I experimented with solar cookers, and later I pursued LEED-certified homes and other environmentally focused businesses. So, when I took over at Tenuta Villanova, I wanted to reduce our footprint without compromising taste and quality.
We’re installing solar panels so we can become fully self-sufficient, ideally within the next couple of years. We’ve also switched to a high-drainage soil that requires much less water. These changes lessen the strain on the local environment and help preserve our traditional, centuries-old winemaking processes.
Q: Cala Bennati Wines emphasizes “accessible luxury.” How does your Pinot Grigio embody that concept?
GB: Often, top-tier wines are out of reach for many consumers. Pinot Grigio in general is something people want to enjoy regularly. My family’s grapes have historically produced a truly premium wine—so premium, in fact, that some labels priced it close to $50 a bottle. I wanted to ensure more people could discover this quality without breaking the bank.
So, we keep quality at the forefront—handpicked grapes, proven techniques—but we offer it at an inviting price point so you can enjoy a taste of our Venetian heritage on any occasion, whether for a big celebration or a relaxed meal at home.
Q: You describe Cala Bennati Wines as more than just a drink—it’s a lifestyle. How do you see it enhancing springtime family gatherings in particular?
GB: Wine in Italy has always been part of everyday life, not just for major holidays. With spring in full bloom, families often gather for brunches, outdoor dinners, or even a casual meal at home to celebrate new beginnings. I see a crisp Pinot Grigio fitting beautifully into that, especially ours—it’s light and refreshing, perfect for milder weather.
Whether you’re hosting a lively family reunion or just enjoying a spring weekend with loved ones, a bottle of Pinot Grigio can instantly elevate the table. It’s about turning simple moments into something memorable and bright.
Q: You launched first in Miami, a city known for high-end dining and stiff competition. What helped Cala Bennati Wines stand out?
GB: It definitely wasn’t easy—there are established names everywhere. But I already had a network in Miami, and that helped open some doors. Once our wine was in top restaurants,
I want you to envision you’re on the Grand Canal in Venice, savoring the moment—even if you’re in the heart of Miami or Manhattan.
the quality spoke for itself. Restaurants that started carrying it by the bottle soon realized people were ordering it more than expected, so they began offering it by the glass.
In hospitality, numbers don’t lie—if the product isn’t good, it won’t sell. We’ve not only stayed on menus but expanded in many cases, which shows patrons truly enjoy it. That’s the most rewarding part: seeing people consistently return to a brand they trust.
Q: Any specific restaurants or venues you’re proud to partner with for spring celebrations?
GB: Miami has so many amazing spots. Our Pinot Grigio is in places like Cipriani, Casa Tua, and Catch, covering everything from Italian to sushi. We’ve also made it into Kiki on the River and Casa Madera, where you can sip by the water—a vibe that really ties back to our Venetian heritage.
New York is up next, and we’re launching there this season. We’ll focus on select highend restaurants first, then plan to expand into off-premise accounts and local wine shops so more people can bring Cala Bennati Wines into their everyday lives—especially as the weather warms.
Q: Beyond scaling into new markets, what’s next for Cala Bennati Wines?
GB: We want to keep up our quality standards and eco-friendly initiatives as we grow. That means training our teams, working with distributors who share our ethos, and making sure every single bottle reflects our legacy.
Eventually, we may explore other varietals, but only if we can do it while preserving what makes our Pinot Grigio special—its rich history and unwavering commitment to sustainable, family-centric winemaking.
As Cala Bennati Wines expands from its 500-year-old roots in Friuli Venezia Giulia into bustling dining destinations like Miami and New York, the mission remains the same: honor Venetian winemaking heritage while making top-quality wine more accessible. Whether you’re planning a lively spring family gathering, an outdoor brunch, or simply soaking up the season’s fresh energy, Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio offers a taste of “La Dolce Vita” with every sip.

Few things evoke the timeless allure of Italian wine culture like an elegant Pinot Grigio. Crisp yet comforting, refined yet versatile—this celebrated varietal has long graced the tables of connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike. Today, a new chapter unfolds in this storied category, led by the Bennati family’s latest release: Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio. Crafted at Tenuta Villanova—Friuli Venezia Giulia’s longest-lived wine estate, founded in 1499—this bottle exemplifies the modern face of accessible luxury, bridging five centuries of tradition with today’s global palate.
In keeping with their storied lineage, the Bennati family has infused Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio with their signature devotion to craftsmanship and a forward-thinking ethos. From the sunlit Collio hills to the Isonzo river’s alluvial soils, the wine’s origins are imbued with a remarkable sense of place. Yet beyond its impressive heritage, this Pinot Grigio offers a profile as engaging and effortless as a stroll through a Venetian piazza.
At the heart of this wine is Friuli Venezia Giulia, a region internationally renowned for producing some of Italy’s most vibrant white wines. Tenuta Villanova stretches across 180 hectares where pebbly, mineral-rich soils meet gentle rolling hills and crisp alpine breezes. These conditions create an ideal environment for Pinot Grigio grapes—delicate clusters that thrive in the cooler nights and warm days.
While many wine estates boast historical appeal, few can claim longevity like Tenuta Villanova, established in the late fifteenth century. Over the centuries, generation after generation of the Bennati family has maintained a steadfast commitment to sustainable farming, balanced viticulture, and meticulous cellar practices. Their approach respects the land as much as the fruit, ensuring future custodians will inherit the same abundant terroir.
The Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio in your glass is more than an homage to Italian heritage; it is a study in meticulous craftsmanship. A handful of elements make this vintage distinctive:
Hand-Selected Grapes: Only premium Pinot Grigio clusters are chosen, ensuring a pure, focused expression of the varietal.
Alluvial Soils: Deposits from the Quaternary era, shaped by glacial movements and ancient river pathways, imbue the grapes with nuanced minerality.
Stainless Steel Fermentation: Following gentle pressing, the juice ages six months on the lees in temperature-controlled tanks, preserving vibrancy while adding a rounder mouthfeel.
Eco-Conscious Methods: From the vineyard rows to the final bottling, the Bennati family employs sustainable practices that protect biodiversity, uphold water conservation, and minimize chemical interventions.
This dedication to quality and responsibility manifests in every sip. Straw yellow in color, the wine offers an inviting bouquet of white and yellow flowers, while on the palate it remains soft, full, and fragrant, a direct result of that patient lees aging. Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio deftly balances freshness and weight— an ideal companion to a variety of cuisines, from rustic Italian fare to creative international dishes.
My own rendezvous with Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio happened recently during a relaxed family dinner. We served cedar-plank grilled salmon and a bright, seasonal salad—an unassuming pairing that proved truly memorable. The salmon’s smoky richness provided a sumptuous counterpoint to the wine’s crisp acidity, while the herb-laced salad highlighted the Pinot Grigio’s delicate floral notes.
The interplay of flavors underscored the wine’s signature charm: a lightly perfumed nose transitioning into an elegantly supple mid-palate, all carried by a subtle thread of minerality. Sips between bites of salmon revealed hints of orchard fruit—peach and pear—underpinned by whispers of white blossom. Each element felt perfectly in balance, a testament to Cala Bennati’s approach of minimal intervention and maximum terroir expression.
One of the most appealing facets of Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio is its ability to transcend typical “special occasion” constraints. This is a wine that retains a sense of everyday elegance, aligning with the Bennati family’s conviction that wine should celebrate life’s joyous moments— big and small. They call it “the joy of living,” a nod to Italy’s famed La Dolce Vita
That sentiment resonates in the approachable price point as well. While the wine pays homage to a centuries-old estate and involves carefully curated methods, it remains refreshingly inclusive. Discerning drinkers can appreciate its fine craftsmanship, while those newer to the world of Pinot Grigio can explore its flavors without hesitation.
Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio excels in more than one pairing scenario. Cedar-planked salmon, of course, but also consider an elegant seafood risotto brightened with lemon zest, or even lightly fried calamari with a scattering of fresh herbs. The wine’s gentle floral bouquet and soft acidity can carry an impressive range of dishes:
Creamy Pastas – Its fresh finish cuts through richness, striking a delicious harmony.
Seasonal Greens & Salads – The wine’s fragrant undertones elevate delicate vegetables.
Chicken, Turkey, or Pork – Especially when roasted with citrus and aromatic spices.
For adventurous palates, try an unexpected match like Southeast Asian salads or sushi; the subtle fruit essence and hint of minerality can complement even spicier cuisines.
Guiding Cala Bennati Wines is Gregory Bennati, great-grandson of the original vineyard owner, who marries his entrepreneurial eye with time-tested expertise. His vision is firmly anchored in authenticity—celebrating the estate’s heritage while crafting wines that appeal to a modern, global audience. Through strategic vineyard planning, an unwavering focus on eco-friendly techniques, and a keen sense for consumer trends, Bennati ensures the future of this historic label remains bright.
Meanwhile, the broader wine world has taken notice of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s rising star. Industry insiders are lauding the region’s Pinot Grigio for the way it combines crisp citrus energy with layered texture—an antidote to overly simple whites from lesser terroirs. In other words, Friuli has become a prime destination for those seeking an elevated wine experience, and Cala Bennati is right at the forefront.
In a global market bustling with new labels, reinventions, and fleeting fads, Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio stands out through its timeless sensibilities. It’s a bottle that honors tradition yet remains undeniably of the present moment. There’s a refined ease to its flavors, a gracious nod to both its storied past and the ever-evolving palate of modern drinkers.
Whether you’re gathering with family for a cozy meal, or planning an alfresco soirée with friends, this Pinot Grigio adapts with effortless poise. Serve it well-chilled—around 55°F, as recommended—to let its floral and fruit nuances shine. Offer it alongside light appetizers or bolder entrées, confident in the knowledge that it carries a bright acidity and plush texture to please a spectrum of tastes.
Perhaps the true marker of this wine’s success is how naturally it weaves into the tapestry of everyday life, infusing ordinary moments with a dash of Venetian magic. After all, that’s the very promise of Friuli’s ancient soil and the Bennati family’s legacy: to bring a heartfelt, authentic piece of Italy to every table. May your next sip—like my own memorable evening of salmon and salad—remind you of wine’s power to elevate life’s simplest pleasures.
Raise your glass, and let your palate travel to Friuli Venezia Giulia, where centuries of winemaking tradition meet the dreams of a new generation. With Cala Bennati Pinot Grigio, you can experience that delicate intersection of heritage and innovation—one that promises not just a taste of Italy, but a truly transcendent moment worth savoring.

Christian Cowan has never been one to follow convention, and his Fall/Winter 2025 collection was no exception. Presented at The Glasshouse in New York City against a sweeping skyline backdrop, the show was an expressive, unfiltered tribute to his long-time muse, Abbie. Far from commercial, this collection channeled pure fashion fantasy—bold, colorful, and brimming with theatricality. Every look paid homage to Abbie’s fearless sense of style, infusing playful nostalgia with Cowan’s signature high-octane glamour.
This season, Cowan’s creative process was deeply personal. “Building this brand has been, and continues to be, the greatest pleasure of my life,” he shared. “Late last year, we lost a truly special person and a deeply central part of our team and business: Abbie. She was my greatest supporter, always pushing us to be bolder, break norms, and, most importantly, enjoy every moment.”
The collection reflected that joy and defiance of limits, embracing a sense of uninhibited creativity reminiscent of childhood dress-up sessions. Exaggerated silhouettes, electric colors, and unexpected textures underscored a vision of fashion as a celebration, not just a necessity. High-Fashion Playfulness: Statement Pieces That Stole the Show
Each look delivered theatrical impact, from ‘naked dresses’ to a gown designed to mimic the effect of being sculpted from chewing gum. Dramatic puff sleeves amplified proportions, creating a sense of grandeur, while party dresses and tailored suiting maintained Cowan’s balance of flamboyance and wearability. Some of these pieces were teased ahead of the show in a campaign starring Julia Fox, adding to the collection’s already mounting anticipation.
Building on their successful Spring/Summer 2025 partnership, Christian Cowan and DSW reunited for this season, seamlessly integrating footwear into six exclusive looks. From statement heels to sleek boots, the footwear played an integral role in completing each outfit, emphasizing a fusion of high-fashion design with accessibility. The full range, including select pieces from the runway, is now available at DSW.com and in select retail locations, bringing Cowan’s signature aesthetic to a broader audience.
Models stepped onto the runway with flawless, radiant skin courtesy of Byoma, while Rimmel provided makeup that enhanced the collection’s dramatic edge. Guests were treated to a curated ‘high-fashion’ gift box from The Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store, ensuring the evening was as indulgent as it was exhilarating. The front row was a spectacle in itself, with an eclectic mix of celebrities and fashion insiders, including Sam Smith, Kesha, Anna Delvey, Coco Rocha, King Princess, Ubah Hassan, Susanne Bartsch, and Jessel Taank. Their presence only reinforced Cowan’s status as a designer who transcends fashion to create cultural moments.
Since launching his eponymous brand in 2017, Christian Cowan has built a reputation as the go-to designer for bold, high-energy fashion. A CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist in 2018, he has evolved his label from performance-driven statement pieces to a full-fledged collection of sharp tailoring and elevated day-to-night dressing. With roots in London and Spain, Cowan’s aesthetic remains globally inspired yet quintessentially New York—fearless, extravagant, and always a step ahead.

Few designers capture the essence of New York elegance quite like Dennis Basso. For his Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection, the designer turned to the city’s most iconic women across generations, presenting a collection steeped in opulence and modern sophistication. Set against the storied backdrop of the Columbus Foundation—a Gilded Age mansion on the Upper East Side—the presentation was as much an ode to timeless glamour as it was a display of masterful craftsmanship.
Unlike a traditional runway show, Basso’s latest collection unfolded in five vignettes, each offering a distinct perspective on his signature aesthetic. The intimate setting allowed more than 300 guests an up-close look at the artistry behind the pieces, a testament to the designer’s unwavering attention to detail. Models, styled to resemble Basso’s clientele, lounged in armchairs or stood poised with an effortless air, embodying the designer’s belief that a woman should wear the clothing—not the other way around.
With 31 carefully curated looks, the collection underscored the concept of wardrobe-building, where luxury meets versatility. Rich furs remained a signature element, with standout pieces including a brown mixed broadtail and sable mosaic coat, as well as a Bordeaux sheared mink coat with a chinchilla collar. Basso balanced these sumptuous outerwear pieces with equally refined eveningwear—think a black duchesse satin tuxedo gown embellished with crystals or a ruby satin-back crepe gown with a statement draped bow. Meanwhile, an off-white sheared mink coat paired with duchesse satin wide-leg trousers embodied an effortless grandeur.
No look was complete without the carefully selected accessories that have become a hallmark of Basso’s world. The models carried shoes and handbags from his signature collection, while Jennifer Miller jewelry added an extra touch of refinement. Hair and makeup, executed by Julien Farel Salon, kept the focus on classic beauty—polished yet modern, in keeping with the collection’s overarching theme.
Elegance: The Dennis by Dennis Basso Line
While the presentation was filled with couture-level craftsmanship, Basso also demonstrated his ability to bring luxury to a wider audience. His Dennis by Dennis Basso for QVC line was thoughtfully woven into the showcase, featuring pieces like crepe pants, a tweed knit blazer, and a satin bow blouse. By integrating these designs alongside his high-end collection, Basso reinforced his commitment to offering timeless style at every tier of luxury.
The evening reaffirmed Basso’s role as a purveyor of enduring sophistication. With a collection that seamlessly bridges past and present, he continues to dress the modern woman in garments that exude confidence and refinement. Whether through a sweeping satin gown or a meticulously crafted fur coat, his vision remains clear: luxury should be wearable, effortless, and—above all—timeless.

New York Fashion Week witnessed an electrifying spectacle as The Blonds unveiled their Fall/Winter 2025 collection at the iconic FIDI Bank Hall. Known for their unapologetic opulence, the design duo delivered yet another dazzling display of theatrical fashion, blending Old Hollywood glamour with a contemporary, rebellious edge.
This season, The Blonds channeled the allure of the silver screen, drawing inspiration from the cinematic worlds of Blade Runner and Sunset Boulevard, seamlessly merging vintage decadence with futuristic fantasy. The collection unfolds in two acts: City Lights and Beach Nights.
The first segment, City Lights, presents a refined yet daring urban aesthetic. Sleek cocktail dresses adorned with crystal embellishments, structured corsets, and daring cutouts define this portion of the collection. Evoking the elegance of Hollywood’s golden age, the pieces shimmer with confidence and power—designed for the modern It Girl, Model, Actress, Showgirl, or even Jewel Thief.
Transitioning into Beach Nights, the collection takes a sultry turn with vibrant hues, metallic fabrics, and fluid silhouettes perfect for a jet-setting lifestyle. Picture a woman leaving the bustling city behind, only to emerge on the shores of Ibiza for an extravagant night under the stars. The pieces remain bold and unapologetic, dripping in luxury and tailored for those who embrace an extravagant lifestyle without seasonal constraints.
As always, beauty played an integral role in The Blonds’ storytelling. The hair, nails, and makeup reflected the duality of the collection, balancing sharp, structured aesthetics with fluid, dreamlike elements. When asked about the inspiration behind the beauty looks, David Blond emphasized escapism and empowerment. “Our story started with cinema… but then we asked ourselves: who is this modern woman? What does she do? What is she like? We drew from icons like Elizabeth Taylor and other legendary collectors of jewelry—women who exude confidence and glamour.”
A highlight of the evening was the return of Philippe Blond to the runway, opening the show in a striking ensemble inspired by an archival treatment from The Blonds’ early collections. With their signature intricate embroidery and couture detailing, the look was a masterful nod to their roots while embracing the future of fashion.
With their latest collection, The Blonds continue to push the boundaries of glamour, merging nostalgia with a forward-thinking aesthetic. The result? A fearless celebration of individuality and self-expression—one that proves, yet again, that The Blonds don’t just create fashion, they craft a fantasy.
And in the world of The Blonds, one thing is certain: their woman never gets mad… she gets everything.

In the vibrant intersection of contemporary fashion and Eastern aesthetics stands Taoray Wang, the creative force behind Juzui Fashion. Known for her sophisticated blend of powerful tailoring and delicate floral inspirations, Taoray's designs resonate deeply with modern women who seek empowerment through elegance. As she unveils her anticipated Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, Taoray shares how resilience, individuality, and subtle confidence blossom within her creations.
Your design philosophy beautifully merges contemporary fashion with Eastern aesthetics. How has this balance evolved under your creative direction, and what new elements have you introduced for the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection?
Juzui's DNA is inherently rooted in colors and patterns, serving as our canvas each season. For this Autumn/Winter collection, titled 'Winter Blooms Whispering,' I drew inspiration from the resilient Chinese plum blossom, a rare flower that blooms amidst winter's harshness. It symbolizes our consumer—delicate and beautiful yet incredibly resilient and strong. This season particularly emphasizes this duality, capturing the graceful toughness inherent in every woman.
Confidence and abundance are key themes in your narrative. How do you translate these ideals into the silhouettes, textures, and materials this season?
For this collection, the silhouettes echo the subtle yet distinctive beauty of flowers that flourish during colder months—not fully bloomed as in spring, but sophisticated and enduring. I've incorporated textures and materials that gently mimic this natural elegance, using luxurious fabrics that move fluidly, reflecting a quiet abundance rather than overt opulence. It's about understated strength, a quiet confidence that speaks volumes.
As a designer known for powerful yet elegant tailoring, how do you envision your brand empowering women through fashion, especially with this year's collection?
Previously, my designs often focused on structured power suits—armor for women ready to take on the world. With Juzui, I've embraced a different form of empowerment through vibrant colors and bold patterns. I believe women express their strength in diverse ways. Fashion can indeed serve as armor, but it can also radiate positivity and joy. This collection specifically encourages women to feel powerful through the freedom and individuality expressed in colorful, intricately patterned ensembles.
Taoray Wang's designs are more than mere garments; they celebrate the unique individuality and bold personalities of today's entrepreneurial and career-oriented women. With a meticulous approach to tailoring—a skill honed during her training on Savile Row—each piece may appear effortlessly relaxed, yet is carefully constructed to uphold a refined silhouette. It’s this balance between precision and freedom that defines the Juzui woman.
Through her artful integration of East-meets-West aesthetics, resilient symbolism, and empowering silhouettes, Taoray Wang continues to redefine contemporary women's fashion. The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection stands as a testament to the subtle power and grace that blooms from within—capturing the very essence of modern femininity.

Pamella Roland transported the audience to the heart of London with her Fall/Winter 2025 collection, unveiled at the breathtaking Rainbow Room atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The collection, infused with the timeless elegance and regal charm of the British capital, showcased an opulent fusion of historical grandeur and contemporary refinement.
Inspired by London’s architectural beauty, the collection featured structured silhouettes adorned with intricate embellishments. The color palette paid homage to the city’s diverse landscapes, incorporating deep royal blues, purples, rich burgundies, muted greys, emerald greens, and opulent gold accents reminiscent of London’s regal heritage. The collection seamlessly balanced tradition and modernity, reflecting the essence of the Pamella Roland woman—poised, powerful, and undeniably glamorous.
Key elements included unique shoulder accents, bold animal prints, dramatic capes, and liquid metallic finishes, capturing London’s innovative spirit. Standout pieces included a striking gunmetal gown with sculpted shoulders and faceted fringe, as well as a black satin midi dress paired with an elegant crystal-embellished coat featuring a zebra motif. The intricate craftsmanship highlighted Roland’s dedication to couture-level detail.
During the show, Roland shared insights into her creative process, revealing how London had profoundly influenced the collection. "We spent so much time there, from exploring historic architecture to experiencing the city’s vibrant club scene. The energy of London shaped this collection—from the gold accents reflecting its regal history to the animal prints inspired by the eclectic nightclubs."
When asked about empowering elements in her designs, Roland emphasized the importance of color and fabric. "We have a beautiful deep red ball gown and the same design in purple. These rich hues exude strength and confidence, essential qualities for the women we dress."
Feathers, a signature element in many of Roland’s collections, also made an appearance. "Some stores don’t carry feathers, but our clients love them, so we always incorporate a few standout feathered designs."
A highlight of the conversation was Roland’s reflections on dressing celebrities. From Angelina Jolie to longtime muse Vanessa Williams, her designs have graced some of the most celebrated women in Hollywood. When asked about a dream client, she noted, "We've dressed so many stars over the years, but my daughter always keeps me updated on who the next generation’s style icons are."
Roland also discussed the evolving nature of fashion presentations in the age of social media. "When we first started, designers had communal show spaces like Bryant Park or Lincoln Center, but now we all have to carve our own path. Social media has completely changed the game. Every look has to be visually striking both on the runway and on Instagram."
With her Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Pamella Roland reaffirmed her position as a designer who seamlessly blends elegance with contemporary flair. The show was a masterclass in opulence, cementing her legacy as a visionary in luxury fashion. Though I don’t drink alcohol, the resort’s creative mocktails kept me more than satisfied. Each one was vibrant, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. I started my mornings with a soothing matcha latte with almond milk from the resort's coffee shop, the perfect way to begin a day of indulgence.
One drink I couldn't help but notice was the Bob Marley cocktail—a layered masterpiece in
the iconic red, green, and yellow colors which signifies Rastafarian flag. Not only was it visually stunning, but it was also a true testament to the island’s culture. It quickly became one of the most Instagrammable drinks at the resort, capturing the essence of both the location and the vibe of the resort. And, of course, I couldn’t overlook the Red Stripe beer logo, which has a cultural significance in Jamaica, adding a nostalgic touch to my stay.
The service was impeccable, with upgraded amenities and a dedicated butler service. My two butlers checked in daily via text to ensure everything was perfect and to see how they could assist. One evening, they surprised me by drawing a bubble bath in my personal Jacuzzi on the balcony, complete with Molton Brown bubble bath for the ultimate relaxation. I also couldn’t get enough of the plantain chips they refilled in my room daily—a delightful snack that added a local touch to my stay.

Opens in Miami’s South of Fifth, Bringing Parisian Elegance
By Hi lla ry Latos
Miami’s South of Fifth neighborhood just got a taste of Parisian grandeur with the arrival of La Grande Boucherie, the latest venture from The Group Hospitality. Known for its grand Art Nouveau-inspired spaces and timeless brasserie charm, La Grande Boucherie made a dazzling debut with an opulent opening soirée that transported guests to the golden age of Paris.
A Spectacular Opening Inspired by the Oasis Parties
On January 30th, Miami’s elite gathered at 81 Washington Avenue to celebrate the highly anticipated launch of La Grande Boucherie. Stepping through bougainvillea-lined gates, guests entered a lush tropical garden reminiscent of Paul Poiret’s legendary 1920s Oasis Parties, where the night was set against a backdrop of live music by Liset Alea. The evening unfolded inside a stunning historic Art Deco building, originally designed in 1938 by architect Henry Hohauser, now meticulously reimagined to blend French sophistication with Miami’s vibrant energy.
Inside, the restaurant’s ground-floor brasserie welcomed guests with subway-tiled walls, intricate mosaics, and antique French accents, while the upstairs dining area channeled the seductive allure of Denise Boulet’s soirées, enveloping visitors in rich jewel-toned hues and intimate private dining spaces overlooking the verdant courtyard.
With Executive Chef Leonardo Pablo at the helm—renowned for his work with JeanGeorges and top Miami dining establishments—La Grande Boucherie curated an evening of classic and contemporary French flavors such as Escargots, King Crab, steak tartare and French onion soup. The main courses were equally indulgent, boasting Prime Steak Frites, Coq Au Vin, Filet Mignon, Whole Grilled Lob-
ster, and Loup de Mer. The evening concluded with decadent desserts, including a smooth Mousse Au Chocolat, Basque Cheesecake, and Milk Chocolate Caramel Tart.
Pairing perfectly with the menu, La Grande Boucherie’s extensive wine and cocktail selection delighted attendees. Signature drinks like La Vie En Rose, The Phoenix, and the Boucherie Old Fashioned highlighted the evening’s celebration, alongside an expertly curated wine list featuring French vintages and sustainable, organic selections.
The arrival of La Grande Boucherie in South of Fifth cements The Group Hospitality’s expansion into Miami’s flourishing culinary scene. Founder Emil Stefkov expressed his excitement about the launch, stating:
“We are thrilled to bring La Grande Boucherie to Miami’s South of Fifth neighborhood, offering a unique fusion of an indulgent steakhouse with the timeless charm of a refined Parisian brasserie. This new venture marks a significant milestone as we step into the Magic City, known for its vibrant culture and world-class gastronomy.”
Following its successful expansion to New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., La Grande Boucherie’s Miami opening signals The Group Hospitality’s growing presence in South Florida, with additional concepts already in the works. This 450-seat dining destination is set to become a must-visit hotspot for Miami’s elite, blending gastronomy, design, and ambiance into an unforgettable experience.

Experience Parisian Elegance and Comfort at Monsieur Bistro
Monsieur Bistro brings a slice of Paris to the Upper East Side, offering an impressive menu that combines classic French techniques with contemporary flair. The restaurant strikes a balance between fine dining and comfortable neighborhood charm.
The appetizers set a high bar. The escargot is a standout—tender snails in a rich garlic-herb butter that begs to be soaked up with bread. The salmon carpaccio offers a lighter option, with fresh fish sliced thin and dressed with a bright citrus vinaigrette.
Main courses showcase the kitchen's range. The skirt steak is a highlight, cooked to a perfect medium-rare and served with a zesty chimichurri sauce. For those wanting something more casual, the burger is anything but ordinary—made with a special blend of prime beef, topped with aged cheddar, and served with truffle-parmesan fries.
The wine list is exceptional, with carefully selected French and international wines. A robust Châteauneuf-du-Pape pairs beautifully with the steak, while a crisp Sancerre complements the salmon perfectly.
Dessert is simple but memorable. The signature cookie arrives warm, with a soft, gooey chocolate center, accompanied by vanilla bean ice cream—a comforting end to the meal.
The restaurant's atmosphere is inviting, with soft lighting and French-inspired decor that creates an intimate dining experience. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment.
Monsieur Bistro offers good value for its location. It's a restaurant that successfully brings French bistro dining to New York, creating a dining experience that feels both authentic and innovative.
For those looking for a taste of Paris in the heart of Manhattan, Monsieur Bistro delivers a memorable meal that celebrates great food and wine.

A Theatrical Display of Myth, Mystery, and Couture at The Royal Horseguards
Malan Breton cast an enchanting spell over London Fashion Week with his AW 2025–2026 collection, unveiling a majestic fusion of Eastern mythology and Victorian grandeur at the Royal Horseguards' Gladstone Library. This season, the designer drew inspiration from the Year of the Snake, weaving together the mysticism of the legendary White Snake tale with a contemporary reinterpretation of opulence and reinvention.
Set against the grandeur of the historic venue, the collection unfolded like a modern fable, where fluid silks, architectural corsetry, and shimmering metallics narrated a story of transformation, wisdom, and celestial power.
“This collection is a tribute to the evolution of self—honoring the fluidity of femininity and the commanding presence of masculinity,” said Breton. “The snake in Eastern mythology represents rebirth, intuition, and destiny—qualities I sought to reflect through each silhouette.”
Drenched in iridescent fabrics, elaborate embroidery, and structured tailoring, each look exuded a hypnotic interplay between control and sensuality. Breton masterfully juxtaposed rigid corseted waists against liquid silk drapery, mirroring the tension between structure and movement, strength and seduction.
Key elements of the collection included:
• Croc-embossed faux leather trench coats, sculpting the body with armor-like precision.
• High-necked Victorian gowns, adorned with hand-stitched metallic embroidery, a nod to the romance of the past.
• Sweeping silk capes in shades of midnight black, deep merlot, and glistening silver, capturing the essence of transformation.
• Vinyl and velvet tailoring, creating a striking contrast between lightreflecting and matte textures.
• Signature Breton corsetry, sculpting the body with an almost regal authority, reminiscent of imperial-era silhouettes.
• The palette, dominated by jet black, coffee brown, and molten gold, was punctuated with deep merlot and gunmetal silver, evoking the intensity and depth of ancient Eastern lore.
Music played a pivotal role in the storytelling, as Johnny Hates Jazz performed a live cinematic mix, echoing themes of nostalgia and transformation. The hauntingly romantic melodies intertwined seamlessly with Breton’s designs, enhancing the dreamlike narrative.
The front row was lined with an elite audience of fashion insiders, artists, and cultural icons, including:
• Malan Breton, the visionary designer himself
• Clark Datchler of Johnny Hates Jazz, providing the evening’s evocative soundtrack
• Lady Victoria Hervey, aristocrat and style icon
• Jeetendr Sehdev, author and cultural commentator
• Alistair Guy, fashion photographer and menswear connoisseur
• Samantha Reynolds, acclaimed curator
• Emma Taylor-Satchi, contemporary artist
• Hanna Liubinskaya, renowned opera diva
• Delia Grace Noble, international soprano
• Tyne O’Connell, celebrated author
• Walter Stojash, celebrity hairstylist
• Melissa Harrison, acclaimed concert pianist
Malan Breton: A Visionary at the Intersection of Fashion, Art, and Film
Malan Breton is no stranger to theatrical fashion storytelling. A multi-hyphenate creative force, he has amassed over 80 international awards, spanning fashion design, film direction, theatrical costume design, and animation. His designs have adorned the likes of Dame Emma Thompson, Priyanka Chopra, Janelle Monáe, and Kylie Minogue, gracing everything from Hollywood red carpets to Broadway stages.
This season, Breton reaffirmed his reputation for merging high fashion with cinematic grandeur, delivering a collection that transcended mere clothing—it was an immersive experience, an artistic statement, and a timeless ode to transformation.
Where to Experience Malan Breton’s Legacy Malan Breton’s AW 2025–2026 collection cements his position as a master of elegance and storytelling. With presentations spanning New York, Paris, Milan, and London Fashion Week, his work continues to shape the landscape of luxury fashion and artistic expression.
As the Year of the Snake unfolds, so too does Malan Breton’s ever-evolving narrative—a tale of wisdom, power, and reinvention, written in silk and embroidery.

Talent, and Transformation:
For years, fashion weeks around the world have been synonymous with exclusivity, rigid traditions, and a narrow definition of luxury. But Pamela S. Privette, the visionary founder of hiTechMODA, has set out to rewrite the rulebook—one innovative, inclusive, and techdriven runway at a time.
hiTechMODA isn’t just another name in the fashion circuit; it’s a full-scale movement disrupting the industry with a seamless fusion of sustainability, accessibility, and high-end production. Bringing independent designers into the global spotlight, Privette’s mission is clear: make fashion an open and forward-thinking space while maintaining the artistry and excellence that define true luxury.
hiTechMODA Fashion Events is more than a stage—it’s a gateway for emerging and established designers to step onto a platform that rivals the industry’s biggest names. Hosting runway shows across New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, and even internationally in fashion capitals like Paris, hiTechMODA extends a level of exposure that few independent designers ever achieve. Its flagship productions at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) are held in toptier venues, ensuring that the setting matches the prestige of the designs on display.
Under Privette’s leadership, the brand has become one of the fastest-growing independent fashion platforms in the U.S., drawing
in talent, sponsors, and media eager to be part of something fresh. But what truly sets hiTechMODA apart isn’t just where it operates—it’s how it operates.
The Five Pillars of a Fashion Revolution
hiTechMODA is built on five core principles that challenge the status quo of traditional runway events:
1. Tech-Driven Fashion
Fashion is no longer confined to the catwalk. With cutting-edge digital integration, live streaming, and social media amplification, hiTechMODA ensures designers gain international visibility far beyond the runway. This approach modernizes the traditional fashion showcase, transforming it into a global digital experience.
2. Sustainability as a Standard
Luxury is no longer just about aesthetics—it’s about responsibility. hiTechMODA collaborates with designers committed to eco-friendly fashion, ethical sourcing, and waste reduction. By championing sustainability, the platform ensures that high fashion and environmental consciousness can coexist.
3.
Unlike conventional fashion weeks that favor a specific look, hiTechMODA embraces diversity in its truest form. Models of all sizes, ages, and ethnicities walk the runway, ensuring representation for real people in real fashion.
High fashion shouldn’t be reserved for a select few. By delivering world-class production value at a fraction of the cost, hiTechMODA makes it possible for independent designers to showcase their collections alongside major industry names, creating an accessible yet prestigious platform.
From influencers to top-tier media outlets, hiTechMODA bridges the gap between designers and the fashion elite. With strategic collaborations and broad media reach, it propels new talent into the limelight, fostering careerdefining opportunities.
Pamela S. Privette isn’t just running a fashion event—she’s cultivating a movement. With a background in business, logistics, and production, she recognized a glaring void in the industry: the lack of opportunity for underrepresented designers. In response, she launched hiTechMODA in 2018 with a singular mission—democratize fashion.
“Fashion is about expression, and expression should never be limited. At hiTechMODA, we believe in giving designers and models from all backgrounds the platform they deserve, while leveraging technology to push the industry forward. Our goal is to create a space where creativity, sustainability, and inclusivity thrive on the same stage.”
As the industry grapples with the demands of a rapidly evolving world, hiTechMODA is setting the standard for what’s next. Privette’s trailblazing approach is proving that luxury and inclusivity are not mutually exclusive, that sustainability can be seamlessly woven into high fashion, and that technology is the key to reaching audiences beyond the front row.
hiTechMODA is not just keeping up with the future of fashion—it’s leading the charge. With its continued expansion into new markets and commitment to innovation, this is more than a fashion event; it’s a revolution. And the best part? It’s only just beginning.

When a small windfall relocates them to a condemned mansion on the water, the siblings are forbidden traditional schooling and left to live off the land. As Jackson uses their new home to create a communal cult, the siblings are forced to raise themselves in a carefree, chaotic oasis. Living amidst the vagrant seekers who take up residence in Jackson's utopia, Sienna and Siddhartha strive to protect their unconventional family. Janna Brooke Wallack writes with warmth, compassion and comic brilliance in Naked Girl, an enthralling debut novel brimming with the adventure, resilience, humor and heartbreak of growing up on the fringe of decency and longing for the unattainable comfort of home.

WHIRLAWAY: THE RULE OF THE SEA
by Robert Wintner
Whirlaway is a mind and body adventure of the double-edge 80s, a time of growth beyond idealism and self-absorption of the 60s and 70s. Bolder reaching for the gold ring made success seem attainable. Many young folks enjoyed cocaine as a cultural stimulant for encouragement, confidence, and assurance while it lasted. It cost a bit and a bit more but beat depression. The 80s also marked the beginning of the end for nature on Earth. The human population has been doubling since the 50s and has generated trash. The piles doubled, too, along with traffic and indiscriminate destruction. Free love or sex was still in, as pesky new diseases arrived. On the bright and risky side, the 80s held potential for those in need. A bold player could float a loan at a bank, of all places, with an application form. Most banks had loan apps that were easily submitted with personal tax returns. The P.O. had racks of blank tax returns. Natcherly, the numbers had to make sense. That is no problem, with alignment available at friendly accounting services. Freebooting and fun-loving, 80s life was for the spirited, high lifers to down and outers, whoever could reach to grasp and bring the prize home!
