The growing threat to animal species in Indonesia is a serious and worrying problem. Poaching, climate change, illegal trade, as well as the rapid encroachment of forests are increasingly threatening the survival of these animals. The existence of the Wildlife Rescue Center ( WRC ) has enormous significance in protecting and preserving wildlife species that are under threat or injured conditions. The Centre has a key role in providing professional protection and care for animals in need of assistance, whether due to injury, disease or risk of extinction. Educational tourism can be a means to increase public awareness and concern for wildlife conservation. The existence of Tanjung Puting National Park and Sebangau National Park in Central Kalimantan as a conservation area and also a protected forest for wildlife but there is no area for rehabilitation before it is placed so that animals are often rehabilitated first outside the Central Kalimantan area.

Therefore, a synergistic development concept is needed for the government, observation of the natural environment, and social. and it can create various opportunities to protect natural ecosystems, so it is necessary to identify the potential of designing the Wildlife Rescue Center area in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan province.

Palangka Raya is also one of the three districts that cover TN. Sebangau, which is home to a variety of wildlife. From Palangka Raya, tourists can reach Sebangau National Park by various modes of transportation, both land, sea and air. The distance from Palangka Raya to Sebangau National Park is around 150 kilometers. Sebangau Park is one of the most popular natural tourist destinations in Central Kalimantan. This national park covers an area of around 568,700 hectares and is home to various types of flora and fauna, including orangutans, proboscis monkeys and crocodiles. Tourist visits to Sebangau National Park can have a positive impact on the economy of the surrounding community. Apart from that, tourist visits can also increase public awareness of the importance of nature conservation

The increasing threat to animal species in Indonesia is a serious and worrying problem. Even though Indonesia has extraordinary biodiversity with many rare and unique species, poaching, climate change, illegal trade and rapid forest encroachment increasingly threaten the survival of these animals. Currently, species such as the orangutan, Sumatran tiger, Javan rhino and many others are at risk of extinction in the near future if serious protective measures are not taken.

Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) is an information center for residents. Here, they can gain knowledge about wildlife, including their habitat, behavior and dangers that threaten their survival. WRC also functions as a forum to guide the public about techniques for conserving these wild animals. The WRC can provide support for researchers who wish to conduct studies on wild animals. This facility provides space for researchers to carry out research on various aspects, such as health, reproduction and behavior of wild animals. This study has important significance in developing effective conservation strategies to protect wild animals. Because there is no WRC in Central Kalimantan itself, apart from protecting the natural ecosystem, it can also be an educational tourism attraction for the local community and tourists.

WILD LIFE RESCUE CENTER

Indonesia is an archipelagic country crossed by the equator and tropical climate. Various geographical conditions in each region are the forerunner to the diversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia. According to Conservation International, Indonesia is one of 17 countries with mega-diversity, 2 of the world’s 25 biodiversity hotspots, 18 ecoregions of World Wildlife Fund “Global 200”, and 24 Endemic Bird Areas from BirdLife International. These seventeen countries are regions with the highest biodiversity indexes, including endemic species on a large scale.

Behind the diversity of existing fauna, Indonesia is currently facing a high threat of fauna extinction. According to the IUCN Red List 2021, endangered animal species rose by 49% in the last decade. Currently, the number of endangered wildlife species is 147 mammal species, l4 bird species, 28 reptile species, 29 fish species, and 28 invertebrate species. The threat of extinction itself is due to two factors. The first internal factor from the fauna, where the death rate is higher than the birth rate, and the second factor comes from external factors in habitat destruction, pollution, and illegal hunting.

The higher human population, the higher the need. Therefore, there are many victims in terms of nature and the environment, and the most affected are wildlife. some are being hunted by poachers, some have lost their habitat, some even have a lack of food due to the destruction of the ecosystem in their environment which causes the wildlife to enter the settlements of the surrounding community, resulting in conflicts between residents and wildlife. arise frequently.

Our building concept refers to resilience and comfort in terms of humans, nature, and animals which in it, can survive in a tropical climate and high rainfall. This building has the main purpose of releasing wildlife animals back to their natural habitat, but we also don’t forget another important aspect, namely the nature around it and the humans who manage it. so that a concept is formed that can maximize the potential of the natural surroundings and the community around the site.

With a skywalk that makes it easier for humans to access and limits visitor interactions with wildlife so that captivity intended for rehabilitation before being released into the wild can be carried out optimally and visitors can still see it before being released into the wild.

TUMANG TOURISM VILLAGE

Class : Studio Perancangan 6

Location : Tumang village, Cepogo, Boyolali, Central Java

The architecture of Indonesia reflects the diversity of cultural, historical and geographic influences that have shaped Indonesia as a whole. Invaders, colonizers, missionaries, merchants and traders brought cultural changes that had a profound effect on building styles and techniques. Numbers of Indonesian vernacular houses have been developed throughout the archipelago. The traditional houses and settlements of the several hundreds ethnic groups of Indonesia are extremely varied and all have their own specific history. The houses hold social significance in society and demonstrate local ingenuity in their relations to environment and spatial organisation.

The vernacular architecture will generally have almost the same building characteristics in an area with a similar design concept because the building is made using similar materials. This architectural design also represents the traditional architectural design that exists in an area and has a traditional design that has been handed down from generation to generation which can be considered as a form of heritage from an existing culture.

Green Open Space which is in the middle of the area while the built (solid) area surrounds an open space or commonly referred to as a void element that uses a central open system. Figure Ground describes the total area of an area to show the shape of the area that divides the building mass (solid) and green open space. By maximizing the existing contours, assistance can be made for tourist attractions in it.

Within the settlements there are residential housing spreads and there are also several points that are used as industrial craft houses. This craft house is also one of the attractions for tourists, to visit the industrial craft house, tourists can use the environmental road.

To support the comfort of tourism, it is also necessary to repair roads or improve the surrounding environment. Can be planted with trees or shrubs that indicate the direction or main road of the tourist area. In the solid voids of Tumang Village, it can be identified that the texture of the area is heterogeneous where it can be seen that there are curvilinear and grid patterns. Where the grid is located in a residential area, the curvilinear is located on the edge of a residential area. Siteplan

The road network pattern in Dukuh Tumang uses a spinal pattern (branching) and a grid pattern so that the pattern forms a regional block. In addition, the width of the residential road in Dukuh Tumang is approximately 3 meters

KAMAL MUARA OCEAN FISH MARKET

Competition organizer : Along the Seaside ARSItektur 2022.

Location : Kamal Mura, North Jakarta.

Team : Resha Indie (Leader), Fakhri Muhammad, Nisrina Aulia, Ernadiana.

Work Time: 2 weeks

Kamal Muara is one of the urban villages located in Penjaringan sub-district, North Jakarta city, DKI Jakarta province, Indonesia. This sub-district has 6 RWs and 45 RTs, and is bordered by the Thousand Islands Regency in the north, Tangerang Regency in the west, Kapuk Muara in the east and Kamal in the south.

Our proposed market uses the concept of a building with Sustainable Building technology. Shown by using materials that support the Industrial concept, lighting systems that minimize artificial lighting, and wide ventilation systems so that they are friendly to the environment and minimize the use of single-use materials.

As well as helping sellers and buyers by providing a fish pond in the middle of the building so that they can serve fresh fish that are new to local and outside fishermen, as well as providing openings with the aim of reducing unpleasant odors and also objects can implement simplicity from various aspects such as patterns. circulation, mass arrangement, and architectural forms of buildings display aesthetics so that they can become one of the city’s landmarks. With this concept, it would be able to answer all the problems that exist in this object, both in terms of architecture and can help the economy for the surrounding community.

POINTED

APART AND SPORT HALL

Class : Studio Perancangan 5

Location : Jl. Jend. Sudirman No.Kav 52-53, RT.5/RW.3, Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta City, Jakarta.

Advisor :Ir. Alpha Fabela

Work Time: 5 months

Pointed Apart and Sport Hall is a podium and tower building which has a total height of almost 115 sq. m, indoor sports buildings and apartments are design objects against the background of urban sprawl which is a condition of uncontrolled development or expansion of an urban area. Unplanned transportation system, and uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources.

This phenomenon has made a serious impact on the condition of the natural environment, the health of its citizens, as well as security itself. As one of the efforts to deal with urban resilience on urban pathology in the form of urban sprawl in the city of Jakarta, the concept of the Sudirman city was born, which is able to accommodate 1 million citizens.

CONCEPT PROGRESS

The building that I am currently designing is inspired by the organs that support the human body, namely the metafaora of the spine and ribs, which have a strong meaning and hope that it can support the growth of the Madani Sudirman City area. it can be sturdy and not waver over time. The podium has a metaphor of the ribs meaning a guard where the function of the ribs is to protect the most important organ for humans as well as the function of this podium which is one important thing for humans, namely sports.

Based on the analysis of the approach, the appropriate structural system is the core and outrigger structural system (core and outrigger structural system) on the tower building and the Folded Structure on the podium, because the pull-pull system of the load on the building will preserve the life of the podium building itself. The materials used as building structures greatly affect the stability and facade of a building. The main type of structural system material uses reinforced concrete because it has the characteristics of being easy to form, easy to work with, strong, and resistant to weather.
