Evil Dead: The Musical Good Luck Macbeth presents the campy hit musical based on Sam Raimi’s 1980s cult classic horror films. Evil Dead tells the tale of five college kids who travel to a cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force. The hapless youths are turned into demons, save for one young man who fights off his friends until dawn to stay alive. Sounds terrifying until you hear the characters belt out numbers like “All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons,” “Look Who’s Evil Now” and “Do the Necronomicon.” The musical opens on Friday, Sept. 26, and runs through Friday, Oct. 31, at Good Luck Macbeth Theater, 713 S. Virginia St. Performances are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with an additional 3 p.m. show on Sunday, Oct. 19, 7:30 p.m. performances on Thursday, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, and a midnight show on Oct. 31. Tickets are $13. Warning: People sitting in the first three to four rows should expect to get splattered with “blood,” so leave the fancy dress at home.
