Candied Pecans • 1 cup white sugar • 1 teaspoon ground

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).

cinnamon

• 1 teaspoon salt • 1 egg white • 1 tablespoon water • 1 pound pecan halves

Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a bowl.

Whisk egg white and water together in a separate bowl until frothy. Toss pecans in the egg white mixture. Mix

sugar mixture into pecan mixture until pecans are evenly coated. Spread coated pecans onto a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are evenly browned, 1 hour.

Fruit Cake Bars • 6 tbsp margarine • 1 tsp vanilla • 1 cup sugar extract • 2 eggs • 1 cup pecans • 1/4 cup canned milk • 1 cup candied mixed fruit • 1 3/4 cups flour, divided

Pecan Honey Butter

Honey sweetness and fresh Pecans swirled into creamy butter. Perfect on biscuits, toast, hot cereal, fruits and more.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Dredge pecans and fruit in 1/4 cup flour. Beat together margarine, sugar, eggs and milk. Add 1-1/2 cups flour, vanilla, pecans and fruit.

Place in a jelly roll pan and bake about 25 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.

Our Story J.W. (Grandad) Renfroe started accumulating pecans in Troy, Alabama in 1931. Prior to that he and his brothers made a living as best they could, primarily trapping game and selling pelts. As a supplier to processors and major food companies throughout the U.S., the company grew to be one of the largest wholesalers of in-shell pecans in the country.

J.W. Renfroe, Jr. (dad) grew up in his father’s business, and in the mid 1950’s, he moved his young family to Florida to open a pecan buying facility in Pensacola, as pecan production and growing conditions were good in North Florida and coastal counties of South Alabama.

In the mid 1970’s, the Renfroe family built a pecan shelling and processing plant adjacent to the buying warehouse and gift shop. Lil, Jake’s wife, oversaw that operation ensuring only the best quality pecans would carry the Renfroe name. Following the family tradition, brother Jake and sister Dee developed the shelling, wholesale, retail and mail order businesses into what they are today.

Recently brother Jake retired and Ben, the youngest of the 3 siblings joined the business to support Dee and to aid in further development of the retail business.

We now have two retail stores and continue to shell the finest pecans available. We have developed a superb corporate gift program and continue to support fundraising projects.

In addition to having the best pecan products available, we now offer nearly all varieties of nuts; natural, whole or chopped, candied or roasted – perfect for any kitchen, snack bowl or gift. Our candy kitchen makes dozens of flavors of creamy fudge, Renfroe-style Pralines, and several varieties of pecans. Stop by anytime to smell the aromas and try a sample! Now on our forth generation, J.W. Renfroe Pecan Company remains true to its family values of integrity, honesty, and hard work.
