Cracker’s Cup on Hockey Day in Canada Team A535 prevailed 12-11 in overtime last Saturday to win the 11th annual Cracker’s Cup, played at Jeffreys Lake on Hockey Day in Canada. Fraserʼs Clothes Shop reeled off three wins, capped by a 5-0 win over the host team to capture top honours at the Barryʼs Bay bantam house hockey tournament on the weekend. Fraserʼs also defeated Pembroke 4-2 and Gloucester 7-3 en route to their second tournament title of the 2012-13 season. Dawson Brown had six goals in the tournament. Alex Markus and Cole Turcotte added three goals, and Braeden Mackin a pair. Singles came from Brandon Han-

niman and Brendan Barber. Peewee call-ups Brett Clouthier and Spencer Brydges collected three assists. The shutout was Jordan Vandersleenʼs 10th of the season. Fraserʼs also opened the playoffs with a 4-2 triumph over Arnprior behind goals from Markus Hanniman, Brown and Mackin. Fultonʼs opened the peewee house playoffs with a 2-0 win over NAPA in an all-Renfrew series. Carter Haaima and Brett Clouthier scored. Mason Lynch blocked 17 shots in recording his sixth shutout. Bryce Schaap turned in a 24save effort in defeat. Canadian Tire jumped into

Farrellʼs lost 6-4 to Arnprior in league play, and also travelled to the Pembroke atom tournament. They tied North Glengarry-Stormont 2-2, lost 4-1 to Ottawa Centre and blanked Pembroke 5-0 behind the shutout goaltending of Katie Brydges. Olivia Smart, with eight goals over the four games,, has a Renfrew Minor Hockey Association-leading 39 goals this season.
