A miracle in the making Diary Queen Miracle Treat Day
When people think of ice cream, no matter their age, it brings back fond memories of when they were young. It basically brings out the ‘kid’ in everyone. The kids took centre stage at the Dairy Queen in Renfrew on Thursday, Aug. 13 to make miracles happen by helping other kids. They were in charge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to ensure that the proceeds from anyone buying a DQ Blizzard that day went to help their fellow children at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
Although Dairy Queen Restaurants are found throughout North America, all proceeds from the entire day stay local. Every reader knows some family that has had a child that has benefited from the wonderful resources and staff at CHEO and the Children’s Miracle Network. The kids really showed us how it’s done! The special staff would like to thank everyone for being a supporter for the Children’s Miracle Network, and also to thank you for saving a child’s life. Children are truly the miracles of the world.
