SABOR Announces 2018 Real Estate Award Winners

The San Antonio Board of REALTORS® will recognize the outstanding achievements of several of its members during the Awards and Installation ceremony on December 4 at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. J e n n i f e r Shemwell is the 2018 Broker of the Year. Shemwell is the Broker and President of the Phyllis Browning Company and has been a SABOR member since 1993. Through her leadership, she has led the Phyllis Browning Company in explosive growth, partnered with luxury market leaders and enhanced the firm’s digital presence. She enjoys mentoring new agents and helping them become successful entrepreneurs. She consistently
demonstrates a true passion for innovation and leading each of her agents with care and professionalism. Dave Wilcox is the 2018 REALTOR® Salesperson of the Year. A member of SABOR since 2008, Wilcox is a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Heritage. He prides himself on his negotiation skills and believes in setting the bar high for REALTORS® in their professionalism, making every effort to do so in his own client relationships. He is a top producing, locally recognized REALTOR® with a long track record of giving back to his community. He is a founder and board member of the Delta Kilo Foundation benefiting military service members and their families, as well as a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, and a contributor and sponsor of the Army Fisher House. Aden Stiles is the 2018 Rookie of the Year. Stiles is a REALTOR® at Patriot Real Estate Services. In his first year as a REALTOR® he had 27 active listing and made 12 sales. Though Stiles is still new to real estate, his honest and caring nature and commitment to excellence help him to provide the best experience to his clients.
Kim Young is the 2018 Manager of the Year. She has been a SABOR member for 18 years and has served on SABOR’s Board of Directors since 2017. Through her service on both SABOR and Texas REALTORS® committees, Young has gained valuable information that she passes down to her agents. Her agents describe her as a knowledgeable manager who is always willing to share her insights and expertise, as well as always making herself available to help her agents with any questions they have. R o n n a h Stabenow is the 2018 Property M a n a g e m e n t Specialist of the Year. She has been a SABOR member since 2008 and is a REALTOR® with MHN Properties. Stabenow is dedicated to excellence in property management and improving the reputation of property managers. She displays incredible attention to detail, keeps up with new developments in real estate and property management law and has a passion for helping her clients. L a c y Hendricks is the recipient of the 2018 L e g i s l a t i v e Champion award. A REALTOR® with Hendricks Property Management,
Hendricks is the current chairman of SABOR’s TREPAC Committee, helping lead SABOR in reaching its TREPAC goal for the second consecutive year. She has also worked diligently to lead the committee in educating SABOR members on the value of TREPAC and consistently encourages members to vote and make their voices heard. She is a Crystal R major investor in TREPAC and a 2018 graduate of the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program. Norm Muller is the 2018 recipient of the Commercial Award. Muller has been a SABOR member since 2010 and is a REALTOR® at Century 21 Scott Myers. During his time in real estate, Muller has built up a loyal following of commercial investors and they continue to use him for repeat business. He is also a member of the Century 21 Commercial Investment Network. Ken Hoerster is the 2018 Farm and Land Specialist of the Year. Hoerster has been in the farm and ranch business since 2001 when he formed Texas Ranches for Sale. He lives and works with a mission to provide professional and informative service and incorporates values of integrity, trust, accountability and loyalty in his business.
