GARDEN OF REFLECTION

THREE PEOPLE TEAM COMPETIITON - 4th place disco 6th 2022

As a reflection of the human soul and nature, inner interactions are connected through two contrasting emotions, the real and the illusory, the somber and the joyful, with the landscape serving as a medium for emotional transition This openness provides a space for exploring feelings and thoughts, offering hope and easing negative emotions through interaction with both people and the environment.

High levels of stress and burnout among students and workers.

ISSUES

BURNT OUT

Boarding houses, offices, and residences lack adequate public recreational and healing spaces.

The high cost of treatment for stress and burnout

SITE

Dago Street, Coblong, Bandung, West Java

Dago is a dense area filled with students and traversed by a major public transport route This makes it an ideal buffer zone for daily life, providing a transitional space between academic, residential, and commercial activities.

SELF X OTHERS

The landscape accommodate allowing for direct communica friends and other visito

DESIGN PROCESS

The design process begins with entrance considerations, influenced by vehicle routes. The site is then divided into two zones: the entrance area & outdoor landscape and the semi-outdoor landscape area

Based on interaction patterns, the site is divided into two zones: East Zone and West Zone, connected by a water element

The East Zone remains open due to its proximity to the road, while the West Zone is more enclosed. As the area extends inward, it becomes increasingly private, marked by a greater presence of vertical elements.

Adapting to the site's contoured terrain, elements are placed separately, following a fragmented massing approach

The presence of AI in human life is expected to enhance overall quality of life, particularly in the field of architecture. Coexisting with AI offers new possibilities, but the primary challenge remains the high levels of human stress. Architects must find solutions to address this issue effectively.

THE SINKING JAKARTA

Jakarta faces rising submersion risks due to sinking land and excessive groundwater use By 2025-2050, parts of the city will become a floating metropolis, yet its business districts will remain active The probability of advance AI and flying vehicle technology will support this shift.

EFFECTS

Based on the most likely solutions adopted by the government, Jakarta will be divided into two zones: the upper zone, designated for air transportation, and the lower zone, which will serve as the land area.

CONNECTING THE ADVERSITY

Flooded roads and flying vehicles in an oriented city.

Circulation becomes increasingly disorganized as space tightens.

The need for public spaces that accommodate social activities in various locations. Amphi pods using AI, adapting to water levels, rush hours, and weather conditions.

Pods x AI as Productivity

Public spaces help relieve urban stress for workers through the designed and assembled Pixelago pods.

Pods x AI as Connectivity

These adaptive environments combat social loneliness by dynamically reconfiguring to foster interaction.

Unstable from the water wave, Flexible to move to all direction

SITE ISSUES

Sarang (nest) is a cluster of modular units forming a living space, designed as a solution to meet the needs of the Kampung Dadap community. Each module can be arranged to create spaces that adapt to the residents' specific needs.

Climate change has led to rising sea levels, threatening coastal areas and raising predictions of sinking by 2050. On a smaller scale, the local community faces additional challenges, including job opportunities, declining fish availability due to pollution, tidal flooding, and the accumulation waste.

SITE

Coastal Zone

Consists of stilt houses lined along the banks of Kali Dadap.

Inner Zone

Comprised of single-story and multi-story houses, as well as semi-permanent and permanent shops.

HOUSE PHASE

DEVELOPMENT The house is designed to float when needed. A response of sea level rise.

The site is located in Kelurahan Dadap, Kosambi, Tangerang, Banten, covering an area of 104,082 The majority of residents rely on fishing as their primary livelihood. The settlement in this area categorized into two zones: the coastal zone and the inner zone.
