Engineered by Remy Profile Who is the Man behind Engineered by Remy Engineered by Remy, was founded in 2007 by namesake Remy Hou. His founding principle was to innovate and change fashion through his unique designs. Remy built his company from the ground up through careful planning, innovative designs, viral marketing, gorilla promotions, and meticulously sewing all his unique creations himself, and is currently trying to get investors to make the clothing line a reality and a dream come true. In such a short span of time, from 2007 to present, Engineered by Remy has evolved from modifying just sport hoodies to custom leather jackets, jeans, men’s and women’s business and evening wear, party dresses, along with all the accessories. Engineered by Remy's future line will include sport blazers, handbags, and his innovative sport‐dress shoes. His pieces are very exclusive and have not yet hit any boutique but you will find them draped on celebrities, such as John Legend, Justin Bieber, J Holiday to legendary rap artist MC Lyte who performs in his custom leather designs. The list of celebrities and models goes on and the buzz about a young Cambodian designer changing fashion within the Hollywood community is spreading. Remy Hou's designs are breath taking, but nothing can leave you more speechless than the story of his life and the struggles he endured before he became the designer he is today. Rathana Hournhornnheanhou (Remy Hou) was born in a land of war in 1981; Cambodia was no tropical Eden during the period of 1975 to 1979. He was born into the aftermath of a gruesome war that killed 2.2 million Cambodians. His family was deeply affected when they lost their eldest daughter, relatives, and immediate family. Being held captive in refugee camps and with their lives at stake they eventually escaped captivity and fled to the borders of Thailand and Cambodia. There they found shelter in a town called Site Two. Living conditions were rough, because this was above elevation in the deep jungle where he fought fever, sickness, thunderstorms, landmines, and the regime looking for his family.
