Taking us out of the EU would cost millions of pounds and decades of economic instability that would put millions of jobs at risk. We need a robust and stable recovery from the pandemic, not more economic doom.
Over the last decade, £540 billion pounds of foreign investment has come into the UK. That is about £148 million every day. In the UK, 47% of all Aerospace exports rely on our trading relationship with the European Union. Additionally, 44% of all UK transport exports go to the EU. The UK transport industry employs over 1 million people alone.
BORDER & SECURITY Many people argue that leaving the European Union would give us more control over our borders. This just is not true. The United Kingdom is not part of the EU’s border-free zone, meaning that we have full control over our own borders. Being a part of the European Union helps us keep close ties with our neighbours and keep our country safe.
Keeping us safer EU membership means UK police can use law enforcement intelligence from 27 EU countries and will have access to fingerprint and DNA information. EU cooperation makes it easier to keep criminals and terrorists out of the UK. Since 2004, using the European Arrest Warrant, over 1,000 suspects have faced justice in UK courts.
