CELEBRATING OVER 33 YEARS OF SERVICE IN THE NORTH EASTERN SUBURBS

The outlook for buying, selling and investing in 2025

Market Report – Autumn 2025

As the warmth of summer gives way to the crisp, cooler days of autumn, the property market in Melbourne and particularly across the Diamond Valley, enters a new phase. This season often brings increased activity, as buyers and sellers refocus their plans following the holiday period. With interest rates, market trends and buyer demand all evolving, it’s the perfect time to assess where the market stands and what we can expect in the coming months.

Over the past year, Melbourne’s property market has experienced a period of recalibration. While 2024 saw a modest decline in values, there are now signs that the market is stabilising, particularly in areas where demand remains strong. The appeal of well-connected suburbs with established communities, lifestyle amenities and access to transport continues to underpin property values. Family-friendly locations with quality schools and green spaces remain particularly sought-after, with buyers still showing strong interest in homes that offer space, convenience and long-term growth potential.

Several key factors are shaping market conditions this autumn:

• Interest Rates & Buyer Confidence:

With inflation cooling faster than expected, the Reserve Bank of Australia is widely anticipated to ease interest rates in 2025. A rate cut could provide relief for mortgage holders and encourage greater buyer participation, especially among those who have been waiting for the right moment to enter the market.

• Limited Housing Supply:

While construction activity has picked up slightly, demand continues to outstrip supply in many established suburbs. This is keeping competition high for well-presented homes, particularly in areas where local infrastructure, schooling and lifestyle factors continue to attract long-term buyers.

• Population Growth & Demand:

Melbourne’s population growth is once again gathering pace, reinforcing long-term demand in key residential pockets. With ongoing investment in infrastructure and transport

links improving connectivity, the desirability of well-positioned suburbs continues to strengthen.

As we move further into 2025, the property market is expected to gradually regain momentum. While house price growth may remain steady in the short term, unit prices are forecast to rise at a stronger pace, as affordability constraints push more buyers towards lowerentry options. For homeowners, investors and prospective buyers, the key to navigating the market will be understanding local trends, staying informed on policy shifts and recognising opportunities as they arise.

With autumn traditionally marking an uptick in market activity, now is the time to monitor how these factors unfold. Whether you’re considering buying, selling, or simply staying up to date with market movements, our team is here to provide expert guidance.

PEOPLE AND PLACES OF NOTE IN THE DIAMOND VALLEY

‘Miss Antipasto ’

Some people paint with brushes, others with words—but for Ruby, food is her medium. With an artist’s eye and a love for all things edible, she’s turned a lifelong passion into a business that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

The idea had been simmering for a while, but it wasn’t until the arrival of her first child that she decided to take the leap. Becoming a mother gave her a fresh perspective and the motivation to turn a creative hobby into something truly special. That’s when Miss Antipasto came to life—a reflection of Ruby’s Italian heritage and the strong connection to food and celebration that comes with it.

What sets Ruby apart? It’s not just the fresh local produce, the carefully curated cheeses, or the perfectly folded meats (although those are impressive). It’s her unique artistic flair, the way each platter and table

becomes a visual feast, blending colours and textures like a painter’s palette. Think gourmet cheeses, antipasto, fresh fruits and veggies, chocolates, crackers, dips and whatever seasonal delights are calling at the time. The best part? Ruby caters to dietary needs and religious traditions, making sure everyone can indulge in something delicious.

For Ruby, it’s all about that wow factor. Seeing a client’s reaction, capturing the finished product on her camera roll and dreaming up the next food art adventure is what keeps her going. As for promotions? Keep an eye out— things are in the works!

Whether it’s a small gathering or a grand affair, Ruby’s creations are more than just food—they’re a celebration of flavour, culture and creativity. And really, what could be better than that?

To order a platter or find out more, you can reach Ruby via email at missantipasto@gmail.com or send a direct message on Instagram @missantipasto.

‘Tiny Champs’

If you’ve ever watched a child light up with joy after scoring their first goal or nailing a tricky dribble, you’ll understand the magic behind Tiny Champs.

Founded in September 2024 by Simone, Tiny Champs was born out of a deep passion for sport and a desire to be the mentor she wished she had growing up. Having played sports since she was young, Simone stepped away from it during high school. Looking back, she realised how much she would have benefited from a supportive coach and role model to guide her through the challenges of sport and self-confidence. After rekindling her love for sport and coaching in local community football and basketball, she knew she wanted to combine her passion with purpose—and so, Tiny Champs was created.

Tiny Champs isn’t just about learning to kick, pass, or shoot hoops—it’s about building well-rounded little humans. Their unique approach blends basketball, AFL and movement games with something you wouldn’t expect in a kids’ sports program: yoga and mindfulness. Each session includes a cool-down focused on relaxation and mental well-being,

ensuring kids develop resilience and focus alongside their athletic abilities.

Tiny Champs offers a range of engaging programs to suit kids at different stages:

Group sessions for 3-4-yearolds – Multi-sport fun to build coordination and confidence.

1:1 coaching – Personalised support to help kids improve their skills or gain confidence.

In-School & after-school programs – Bringing movement straight to the classroom.

Birthday Parties & community events – Because celebrating with sport is the best kind of fun!

If you're looking for a way to keep the kids active over the holidays, Tiny Champs has Easter school holiday clinics on the way! There’s a mix of two-day clinics and a one-day girlsonly session, plus an early bird special for families who get in quick. And for Term 2? Soccer is joining the lineup!

For Simone, the real win isn’t just watching kids master a skill—it’s seeing them light up with confidence. She loves watching them overcome challenges, celebrate small victories and leave every session feeling stronger and happier. Tiny Champs is her way of providing the encouragement and mentorship she wished she had as a child and the joy she gets from seeing kids thrive is what keeps her going.

Tiny Champs is more than a business—it’s a community where kids can move, grow and shine. With an energetic leader at the helm, a passion for making a difference and a program designed to support kids inside and out, Tiny Champs is well on its way to shaping the next generation of happy, active and confident young athletes.
