ONLINE JOURNALIST Duties: • To research, source and write - in English and Afrikaans - a mix of daily and regular content and stories and personally upload content to the site • To generate interaction with the community on the site, constantly seeking new topics, ideas and content to develop their ongoing engagement and to create a vibrant community site Responsibilities: • To develop and deliver against a pre-determined editorial plan and schedule for the site • To identify and engage with community associations, companies and individuals of relevance to the site, attending and reviewing events of interest to the users of the site • Copy editing Requirements: • An excellent command of English and Afrikaans • Some journalistic / reporting background • Experience with website content management • Familiarity and enjoyment with social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook etc • Ability to operate effectively under pressure, maintaining high quality against tight deadlines • Computer literate • Passion for languages (Afrikaans and English)

Must work under pressure and stick to strict deadlines. Must reside in Pretoria. Must have own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence.
