THE MOUNTAIN VILLAGE OF ANIMALS Unglaublich aber wahr: In Mühlbach am Hochkönig leben doppelt so viele Tiere wie Menschen – tierisch viele Begegnungen sind hier also vorprogrammiert. Wer immer schon mal wissen wollte, wie das bäuerliche Leben ist, kann sich beim Tag der offenen Stalltür informieren. Auf den Erlebnisbauernhöfen und in den Streichelzoos warten zahlreiche Tiere bereits auf kleine Streicheleinheiten der interessierten Besucher. Da strahlen nicht nur Kinderaugen vor Begeisterung! Weitere tierische Begegnungen gibt es am Ameisenweg und am Schnitzerweg der Tiere. Mit ein bisschen Glück entdeckt man am Murmeltierweg sogar „Manfred“ und „Fraufred“, die sich dort mit ihren Familien tummeln.

Attention all mountain bikers – awaiting all biking enthusiasts on the Hochkönig is a summer vacation with an absolute “flow” adventure. In Maria Alm, the “Flow One” flow trail promises pure biking fun on forest and meadow passages with 285 vertical meters. The new Hochkönig flow train in Dienten is a nature trail for mountain bikers and e-bikers of every age and every ability level. After a comfortable ride up on the Bürglalmbahn lift, you can ride back down into the valley over a length of 4.2 km with 500 vertical meters. At the valley station, the shine will be brought back to dirty bikes.
