Ulujami-Tanah Kusir Section
Human with Human 1. Nearby social space 2. Small dimension for warmth and intimacy 3. New and innovative space 4. Creating low-traffic to enliven city 5. Time Quality over User Quantity PROGRAMS
Advisor: Ir. Djoko Suroso, M.M.
The area of Pesanggrahan River Tanah Kusir Section is one that is dominated by residential zone, consisted of many types, including illegal residence on the riverbank. In this area, there is also a segregation issue, where there is discrepancies between different residential zone that causes the people to have minimum interaction. Each segment is not integrated with one another. This area also experiences flood, mostly because of the illegal residence on the riverbank. There are several empty sites, even on the riverbank, that is being used as a wild garden or field by the residents. Therefore, this project aims to create facilities that fulfill the people's needs while also answering social and environmental issues, and relocate the illegal residents, so that this area could integrate its population, facilities, and environment. This project was created for 5th semester's Design of Environment Studio with a team of six. With the theme Connectivity between Human and Environment in Urban Structure, this project aims to connect human with environment, but also human with human.

This project was made for a third-year studio group project. The theme and name 'Oasis' is taken from the word 'Oase', meaning a fertile area in the desert, so with this theme, the project aims to maximize the reprocessing of natural resources as a way to represent the 'Oasis' as the lungs of the city, a place of reprieve. Located in the busy MT Haryono street, the project intends to be a place of respite among the busy Jakarta. To do this, we did several solutions for the waterfront, turning it into a place of relaxation, with programs such as bamboo park, culinary riverfront, observation deck, and river amphitheater.

AKSARA LITERACY CENTER
Architecture is like a language that can be understood through symbolism and aesthetic of its designer. A space created during the design process can be drawn and written into language narration, like poems. On the other way around, architect can also take inspiration from proverbs and poems, so the two are interconnected.
something eternal or undestructible a+kṣara a (अ) means 'not', while ksara ( र) means 'destructed'.
ALAM TAKAMBANG JADI GURU
This project aims to solve language and literacy problem caused by globalization, both local languages or foreign languages. Located on Jl. Inspeksi Kalimalang, East Jakarta, the massing is constructed with narrative programming method of "Learning from Nature", which came from Minang philosophy "Alam Takambang Jadi Guru". The building concept came from the theme "Learning from Nature" which brings building narrative with the concept from Minang proverb with the meaning of Nature as the Ultimate Teacher. This narration is translated into the building with branching space arrangement, meaning that there are many paths to knowledge. East meets west in the intangible metaphor of Rumah Gadang, which is the increasingly bigger upper levels, and ground floor columns that made it look like stilt house. This project hopes to give a better chance for school-age

The exhibition area "Pustaka Bahasa" applies the theme "Learning from Nature" with an interior shape reminiscent of a forest in the form of corrugated ceilings and branching columns, an ecosystem that is able to provide resources, to become a place that is able to 'fertilize' knowledge.

Advisor: Ir. Diah Anggraini, M.Si. Designer: Regina Natalina Naomi Mester Chinatown Area in Pasar Lama Street is part of a commercial area in Jatinegara. The area is full of history and Chinese culture yet has started to be forgotten. The vitality in the area starts to degrade, with several old, abandoned buildings and the disappearance of Chinatown characteristics. This study uses qualitative method to gather information on-field and understand the problems in the research area. Urban acupuncture is used to identify essential intervention spots in the Pasar Lama Jatinegara area. To formulate the revitalization concept, this study refers to the symbiosis architecture approach, which attempts to interconnect two poles of yin and yang as a fundamental concept in Chinese culture. The final design is in the form of a cultural hub building as an attractor spot. It aims to revitalize the culture and the collective memory while also enlivening the activities in the area. Symbiosis architecture is realized through sacred space, intermediate space, and synergized yin-yang symbolism about nature (heaven/sky) and culture (earth), becoming a linkage and cn attractor spot for the surrounding population.
PROGRAM The area of Pasar Lama, Jatinegara, is chosen through urban acupuncture method from problematic spots in the radius of 3 KM. This spot is chosen because of its potential Vihara Amurva Bhumi as a focal point. There is also a future government plan to put an open green space that can be an urban acupuncture realization in the form of a gathering spot for the population. The rimary intervention building, Mester Chinatown CUlture Hub, is locate near the vihara an becoming a transitional zone between the commercial area an the sacre area (of the vihara).

The concept of symbiosis came from the area planning where there is a profane zone (more material, like commercial, market, parking, etc) an sacre (like places of worship, the Vihara). The builing becomes a part of transitional area that connects sacre zone with profane zone.
This is realize through interventional spots in the area, creating streets that becomes a linkage to unblock the qi of the area, an use the symbiosis concept to bring nature into the building an its surrounding to add the green area

CONNECTOR BRIDGE DETAIL TERASERING GARDEN DETAIL
There are hanging vines atop the bridge, which can also function as a sitting and sight-seeing area. Symbiosis appears as the connection between human and nature, where this area is emphasizing connectivity between human and their activity (talking, seeing culture, shopping) in between nature (with garden, plants, etc). This is a garden that also sells potted plants of various type that has cultural significance. Terasering garden is also a realization of symbiosis architecture in becoming a space between human an their culture with nature. The example is on the 4th floor, where there are music studios, so on the outside, there is a 'musical garden' with bonsai and jasmine, symbol of Chinese traditional song, 'Mo Li Hua'.
