As Christians, it is paramount that we do our best to “work out our salvation” within the essential framework of the Bible and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is always to remain faithful to the Scriptures, loyal to our fellow believers, and Christ-like in our actions. This class will look at the Beliefs, Values, and Practices held by Regeneration Nashville. As we work together to walk the same journey of faith, we aim that we do it with the approach of our church fathers before us, in “unity, liberty, and charity.”
“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.” -St. Augustine
We affirm there is only one God and He is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and created man in His own image for fellowship. Jesus Christ is eternally God and was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning. He is the only mediator between God and man. The Holy Spirit is God who was active in the Old Testament and given to the church in fullness at Pentecost to empower believers.
We affirm that the Bible, containing the Old and New Testament, is alone the only infallible, inspired Word of God, and that its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian conduct.
We believe that Jesus suffered for our sins, was crucified, died, buried, and rose again to restore us to the Father. We believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that this faith is manifested in works pleasing to God.

We affirm that according to 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 the gifts of the Spirit are Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Faith, Gifts of Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Distinguishing between spirits, Tongues, and Interpretation of Tongues which are activated by the Holy Spirit to each believer as the Spirit chooses. We affirm that these gifts are for the believer today and should be desired, pursued, and evidenced until the return of Christ.
THE TRINITY: We believe there is but one living and true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).
JESUS: We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of a Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man (Luke 1:26-35, 1 Timothy 3:16).
THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; John 10:35).
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:14, 8-17; 10:44-46; 19:6).
HEALING: We believe healing is available through what Jesus accomplished in his death on the cross (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16; Exodus 15:26).
SANCTIFICATION: We believe in sanctification, which delivers us from the power and dominion of sin (Acts 26:18; 1 John 1:9). It is followed by life-long growth in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18).
WATER BAPTISM: We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:36-39).
I will protect the unity of my church by:
FAITH: We believe we are justified by faith alone (Romans 5:1).
• Acting in love toward other members.
I will share the responsibility of my church by:
• Praying for its growth and health.
COMMUNION: Communion is the commemoration of the death of the Lord Jesus and should be done in remembrance of Him until He returns again (1 Corinthians 11:23-32).
• Refusing to gossip.
• Following the church leaders.
• Inviting the unchurched to attend.
THE GREAT COMMISSION: We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).
• Warmly welcoming those who visit.
HEAVEN & HELL: We believe in a literal heaven and hell (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7-8)
SECOND COMING: We believe Jesus Christ will return again (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:1-2).
and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19
