Careers with STEM: Indigeous is the first Indigenous-only career guide, launched to inspire young Indigenous students in Australia and New Zealand to pursue STEM courses and careers. bit.ly/FN_STEM
The magazine celebrates the science, technology, engineering and maths experts that bust stereotypes about who works in STEM and what those jobs look like, while providing an Indigenous-first and inclusive viewpoint of STEM.
Now, to help integrate this Indigenous careers mag into classrooms, we’ve added these accompanying Teacher Resources. These three First Nations-led resources for Australia and New Zealand (English and te reo Māori) were developed with INDIGI LAB and CORE Education and supported by Google. They have been developed to utilise the Careers with STEM: Indigenous magazine in classrooms, using activities and concepts from a First Nations Science perspective. Aimed at students at Levels 4 and 5 of the New Zealand Curriculum, and Taumata 4 and Taumata 5 in Te Mārautanga o Aotearoa.
