Heavy menstrual bleeding – does failure of conservative treatment require a hysterectomy?

Certain uterine pathologies can cause abnormal uterine bleeding, of which heavy menstrual bleeding is the most common complaint. In this presentation, these pathologies along with their investigation and conservative treatment options are explained, including when to refer.
