Reed Bros. is a small northern California design studio manufacturing beautiful handmade and hand carved wooden furniture and accessories for fine homes, hotels, restaurants, and resorts. Each piece is made to order and carved to order by the skilled artists and crafts people at Reed Bros. He has been carving and creating his oneof-a-kind designs since 1975. 13 COLLECTIONS OF OUTDOOR FURNITURE in Redwood, Sonoma Cypress & Extira. Redwood has long been one of the most desirable woods for outdoor use. The natural tannins in redwood make it highly resistant to decay and insect damage. Left outdoors the furniture is durable, requires very little maintenance, and weathers beautifully. As the furniture ages, cracks in the wood and variation in the wood’s color will develop. This weathering process is completely normal and adds to the charm of the pieces. Reed Bros.’ hand carved Redwood furniture is available in a wide variety of designs. Ranging in style from Casual to Contemporary from Classical to Country, this furniture compliments any decor. Each piece is carved with the motif of choice. It is available in 5 finishes. Reed Bros.’ Freestone, Barkwood, Washoe, & Milano Collections are made of Sonoma Cypress, a plentiful, indigenous wood that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The furniture is available in 6 finishes. Reed Bros. new Helio Collection is made of Extira, a composite wood product excellent for the modern look and complex joinery of this suite of furniture. For centuries Pine has been used to make fine furniture. It is soft enough to allow delicate woodcarvings and strong enough to support the complicated joinery of quality cabinetry. Reed Bros.’ pine furniture is like no other. Beautifully crafted bedroom sets, dining sets, armoires, entertainment centers, office furniture, chairs, mirrors, lighting etc. are exquisitely carved with unusual designs and then finished with one of 15 lovely lacquer pine finishes. These are heirloom quality pieces to be passed down through generations. Reed Bros. also works in other fine woods suitable for interior furniture such as Cherry, Alder, Mahogany, & Cedar. All of these beautiful materials will support detailed carvings and enhance complex, multi-layered finishes.
