Melt was my first ever project I designed for a live client and will always have a special place in my heart. The daunting task as a junior designer to create a relaxed yet fun environment for an independent pizza restaurant tested my confidence but honestly taught me lessons I carry with me today.
Scope of works included creating the concept, drawing packing, FF&E procurement, site meetings whilst works were ongoing, artwork direction, planning application for signage & redesign of shop front as the building was in a conservation area.

The private box at Twickenham Stadium was designed for a management company who needed a space to entertain clients and hold staff events. The client wanted a private members club feel with space to hold drinks, socialise and watch the rugby or a concert.
I wanted to create an impactful space which felt comforting & luxurious, high gloss painted walls, brass accents & colourful velvets were used throughout. A new bar & island was designed and constructed off site which became the focal point of the space.
I enjoyed designing this space, even though it was small it was an informative experience working with not only the client but the stadium management team also.

The Apollo Arms is situated in Clapham, London and was the third site for The Lunar Pub Company. The client wanted to create a space which held a traditional English pub atmosphere but also offered an elevated culinary experience. The public house is situated in the centre of Clapham Old town and community is at the heart of this establishment.
Working closely with the clients on the previous sites when it came to designing the Apollo I was assigned to working on the drawing package of this project which undertook the schedule drawings, joinery drawings & licensing plans. I was also taking the lead on all site meetings once works began on site. Delivering this project from concept through to completion was a great experience where I learnt valuable lessons of working with the contractors, ensuring the project didn’t go over and handing over the site back to the client on completion.

Nokwol was the first stand alone store for the brand and was situated on the Kings Road, London. The high end footwear brand were beginning their expansion into the UK market and wanted to create a store that looked refined & luxurious which reflected the brand itself.
The material palette consisted of micro-cement, oak, aged brass, leather & travertine which created a warm yet neutral backdrop for the product to stand out.
Coming from a visual merchandising background this was a project I enjoyed designing the concept & layout for. Since starting my design career I had always wanted to design a store and starting that off in a prime location was a great experience. Having the prior knowledge of how to display product and how a customers journey works throughout the store I felt comfortable in understanding the clients needs and advising on what would work well commercially.
Store design is something I would love to work on more frequently in the future.

Naked Wolfe is the sister brand to Nokwol, after a successful start trading online the brand had decided to open two stores in the prime London location of Bond Street.
The pop up store was leased for a limited time only so the client had decided to keep the existing, highly decorative carpet & wallpaper, this challenge made me think of how we could incorporate existing finishes into a new design that suited the brand but felt new & fresh. I decided to lean into the colour pallet and colour block each defining space which ran from the walls through to the display podiums & fixtures.
The Boutique was the second site where we could fully renovate the stores look & feel. Leaning into the colour blocking we covered the shop front in the brands defining orange. Inside we did the same with a micro-cement finish and orange acrylic shelving creating a small but impactful space suitable for its edgy customer.

Inca is a South American fine dining show restaurant located under the London Palladium Theatre. The site was once a nightclub which needed a full strip out but its existing brick arches and narrow walkways created the perfect place for secret hideaway where customers can be transported to another world.
The brief was to design a space which brought the South American charm & luxury fine dining together. Green marble, brass detailing, stained oak panelling and soft velvet seating were all used throughout the bar & restaurant.
The focal point was the stage in the centre of the dining area, this was a great learning curve on stage design, working with lighting designers & the stage production team on how this could work along side the running of a restaurant.

These next pages are hypothetical design concepts which showcase my own personal style and interests within interior design & architecture.
I love contemporary, minimal design with a restrained colour & material palette. I think the mixture between natural & man-made materials create a real harmony within the space. Combining stone and timber with a hard material like concrete or stainless steel is a material palette I’m drawn to.
The use of colour blocking and defining spaces within a space is something I enjoy doing as a designer. Making a wall & floor finish match the joinery or furniture in that area I feel creates a real impact but also carefully zones the space for its desired use.
At my previous design studio I have worked on a range of different design styles from industrial to traditional so I am capable of working with a client and understanding their desired taste and delivering their needs.
In the future I would like to work on more projects which align to my design style and focus more on hospitality & commercial projects but I open to all fields of interior design as I want to continue learning and developing my career as a interior designer.

Broadoak is an ongoing residential project I have been working on based in Solihull, Birmingham. This home is a 1920s mock Tudor house which needed its ground floor reconfiguring to suit a busy family life. The client wanted to retain its original features but create a new modern open plan living, dining & kitchen area.
The client liked a mixture of light and dark within the colour & material scheme, this became a running theme throughout the home when choosing paint colours, tiles & floor finishes.
I produced and presented the concept design to the client and once this was signed off then began to produce the building works schedule and joinery drawings throughout the home. This consisted of all bespoke fitted joinery, kitchen design & bathroom design & specification.

The Chiswick Residence was an Edwardian house which was fully renovated & adapted to suit modern family living. The client wanted a bright contemporary home where they could entertain friends, raise their young children and enjoy family life.
A large single story extension was added to the rear of the property & the loft was extended to allow for a guest bedroom, shower room & gym. The client loved marble and brass mixed in with beautiful soft fabrics, we choose a neutral backdrop for the walls and injected colour through furniture.
This was my first residential project where I worked with a planning officer, architect and large scale build team. This project was on site throughout the covid lockdown’s which meant it came across its own challenges with delayed supplies and workforce.
As a team we were all so proud of this beautiful home and to top off it was short-listed at the SBID Awards.

North Lodge is a beautiful family home situated in the Derbyshire countryside where the client was having a single story curved crittall extension to create the ultimate open plan living area. The job soon turned into a full house renovation with me taking the design lead. I worked closely with the client over a year working with her to curate her perfect family home.
The things I enjoyed the most about this project was designing a home that was so personal to the client. Getting to learn about their interests, how they lived day to day & where they went on holiday all went into the design of this home. I choose artwork which reflected places with sentimental value to them, placed books related to their interests and mixture of design styles which suited the couple perfectly.
One had a love for Art Deco and wanted their formal lounge to be space which screamed elegance and luxury where the other loved Mid-century design which is reflected in the furniture pieces in the open plan living area.
I designed all the bespoke joinery from the boot room, bookshelves, wardrobes, primary bedroom headboard and bathroom vanities. I learnt so much about joinery construction & finishes on this project & is something I love doing at work.

We worked closely with Cameron Homes, a house builder based in the Midlands. We were hired to design & dress their new show homes and create a new style moving away from heavy printed wallpaper & chintz colour schemes. We designed 6 homes over the course of 3 years.
I took on the lead design role for this client and built a great relationship with the head of sales. I designed the concepts, presented schemes, sourced furniture & kept track of budget for the projects.
Ashbourne was not only my favourite home we designed but also the clients. It received amazing feedback and they sold the house fully furnished as the buyer loved it too.
I wanted to create a comforting family home which had moody greens & blues running throughout. A Mixture of oak, rattan, brass and steel are materials we used in most spaces for continuity.
By working on show homes I had to work with specific floor, tile and kitchen finishes which can become repetitive but by being clever with colour & styling we were able to create a different style home each time.
