On their first day campers will each make their own “Journey Stick” which they’ll further use to explore a new trail each morning for collecting nature treasures.
In addition to creating valuable memories, our campers will create lasting nature keepsakes
learning to be an EcoExplorer as they develop their Environmental Identity (EI)
Using tried & true river monitoring techniques your camper will learn how to measure macroinvertebrates & incorporate tools for evaluating the health of our waterways.
Novices will learn new skills as more experienced campers will hone their technique on a variety of watercraft & paddling know-how
Campers will record observations in their own nature journal & make eco-friendly drafts like leaf & bark rubbings & sketches of riverside fauna, tangible reminders of their time at RiverQuest.
Each afternoon campers will learn to paddle a new craft including single & tandem kayaks, canoes & stand up paddle boards followed by a rousing round of classic water games at the end of the day.
