Fish, turtles, squid and jellyfish made from ocean debris including abandoned fishing nets, and recycled plastics, Ghost Nets of the Ocean – a spectacular marine-themed exhibition - is created by the indigenous and non-indigenous artists from Erub Arts on Darnley Island, Torres Strait, Australia. Colourful woven sculptures hang suspended and dramatically lit throughout the gallery, show the peoples connections to the sea, and strives to generate awareness of ocean pollution, recycling, and conservation of the marine environment.
