Dear Red Ledges Members,

2018 has proven to be another great year for the community and Club.

The addition of many new families from all over the United States continues add to the fabric that makes Red Ledges a unique and special place. With the growth in membership we are always looking for ways to improve in our service to you, your family and friends. The Club recently sent out our annual member survey and received a strong response from the members.

The survey results have shown both our strengths as well as opportunities for improvement. I am proud to report that overall member satisfaction remains at a high mark of 92%! This remains consistent with marks of the previous two years and tops among all Troon Prive’ clubs. In addition to strong member satisfaction, we set a new high mark for employee satisfaction with a score of 91%, which is a 4% gain over last year! Red Ledges is not only a great place to live, it is a great place for our employees to work. While Red Ledges has incredible spaces and places, our members and staff are what make us truly special.

The strengths of the Club remain the delicious food served by friendly staff at Juniper Grill, the conditioning of our two Jack Nicklaus Signature Courses, the professional instruction of our Golf and Tennis Professionals, and the guiding of our Activities Director and Equestrian Team.

The areas we will strive to improve upon are growth related. The addition of the Village Pool is going to provide fresh and fun pool experiences for all members; improvements to the Studio space and additional fitness classes and events will be welcomed by many. As Juniper Grill is enjoyed by nearly every member, providing new menu options, faster service times and exceptional service will remain areas of high importance. We will also continue to provide exceptional playing surfaces on both golf courses while improving the bunkers and walk up areas to the tee boxes.

As always, we look forward to seeing you and to providing great experiences every time you visit the Club.

COMMUNITY AND REAL ESTATE NEWS 2018 WAS A RECORD YEAR AT RED LEDGES! 2018 was a year of milestones for Red Ledges: the community’s 200th completed home (and there are over 100 more in construction or review), a record number of real estate sales transactions in the community (more than 10% higher than the previous record year) for over $80 million (also a record, by about $20 million), and national accolades for the community (the Forbes.com article from April is available in the “News & Events” section of RedLedges.com) and for Red Ledges Construction (the front cover feature from October’s Ideal Living magazine is available there, too!).

The dozen-member professional marketing and sales team at Red Ledges Realty (RLR) had a record year for both business and busy-ness, as RLR sales agents represented over 100 Red Ledges buyers in 2018 (no other firm represented more than 4) and over 120 of the listed properties that sold (no other firm represented more than 2), according to Park City Board of Realtors data.

Red Ledges Realty’s investment in bringing buyers to the community includes a seven-figure marketing plan and budget, with partnership programs with the Texas Golf Association, as well as the golf associations of both Southern and Northern California, plus print and digital advertising with the Wall Street Journal and much, much more. Watch for a Red Ledges ad on the back cover of Delta Airlines’ SKY magazine in February.

“IDEAL” COTTAGES and CLUB CABINS You have probably seen the construction activity going on near the clubhouse and on the road leading to the Village Center. Following up on the 2018 success of the Cottages on Kings Peak (one of which was named the national “Ideal Cottage” by leading national real estate and lifestyle magazine Ideal Living), Red Ledges Construction is building some of the popular floorplans for the next phase of those cottages, as well as some new Club Cabins (which have been popular with real estate prospects staying on-property through Red Ledges Realty’s “Discovery” stays).

Red Ledges Construction is headed by industry leader Rex McGuire, who has over 20 years of construction, development and operations experience, including construction management, land planning and development, product development, customer service and green building technology. He has spent his career defining home building excellence with private and public home builders throughout California, Nevada, and Utah.

“Red Ledges Construction’s goal is to have an on-site team of seasoned builders and custom-home experts that can make Red Ledges buyers’ dream homes become reality — stressfree,” McGuire said. “I believe that we offer the best homes, cabins and cottages in the most desirable community in the Rockies – and our experience provides for the best experience for our property owners.”

CLIFF DRYSDALE TENNIS PROGRAM AT RED LEDGES WINS TOP HONORS

Cliff Drysdale Tennis, the largest tennis management company in the U.S., recently announced their year-end ‘Cliffy Award’ winners for 2018. The Cliffy Awards are presented to team members and clubs that embody the Cliff Drysdale Tennis experience through a commitment to world-class tennis and exceptional service for members and guests. “Through their vision and the hard work of Michael Topp, Red Ledges has personified the CDT experience” said Scott Colebourne, COO of Cliff Drysdale Tennis.

The prestigious Club of the Year honor was awarded to Red Ledges, a growing facility led by Tennis Director Michael Topp. Red Ledges has consistently improved monthly programming for the past three years.

“We take great pride in our extremely talented team across the nation,” said Don Henderson, CEO and President of Cliff Drysdale Tennis. “Growing the game of tennis requires excellent tennis professionals and support staff to ensure that players have a meaningful and engaging experience with the sport.”

GOLF BALLS AND SNOW FLY IN WINTER AT RED LEDGES

Winter may have arrived, but Red Ledges golfers don’t need to put away their golf clubs! The Jim McLean Golf School is open 7-days-a-week to help keep everyones golf game sharp throughout the winter. Red Ledges offers an HD Golf Simulator, which members and guests may use to either hit balls on a simulated practice range or to play 18-holes on one of the program’s twenty different golf courses! Our simulator uses the very best technology, giving golfers not only the feel of actually playing a particular course but also provides the most reliable swing data as if hitting balls outdoors.

In addition, the Red Ledges winter golf school offers private golf lessons with our award-winning instruction team.

Our instructors use the Trackman Launch Monitor, BodiTrak Pressure Mat and JC Video Swing Analysis software to fully analyze swings to diagnose any flaws that may have crept into your game this year. This is an excellent time to work on swing mechanics in order to reinforce your game for the upcoming Spring.

During a lesson or even just while practicing, members and guests may use one of the two heated hitting bays to hit balls from inside, out onto the snow. We are the only facility in the Park City area and along the Wasatch Back that allows golfers to see actual ball flight when hitting balls.

As you might imagine, the Jim McLean Golf School is very popular in the winter months, so we reserve space and time in one-hour time slots (2-hour maximum). Please be sure to call 435-657-4054 to reserve your time today and keep your golf game sharp - even when the snow is flying!

VILLAGE CENTER ON TRACK FOR SPRING 2019!

Red Ledges is happy to report that we are on track for a Spring opening of our newest amenity - the much-anticipated Village Center! The first phase of the Village Center will include a family friendly, resort style pool with seating for more than 200, designated lap lanes, spacious locker rooms, a kid’s water playground, a waterslide and a poolside bistro which will serve as the perfect food and beverage outlet for both the Signature Golf Park and as a halfway point for golfers playing the 18 Hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.

Currently all underground infrastructure is in place including pipes, electric and sewer lines; concrete has been poured for the hot tub, pool, pump house and clubhouse and the vertical steel is in place for the Clubhouse. We know you’re excited to enjoy this incredible new amenity with your family and friends so please tuned as we move towards Spring for more details and updates!
