In line with Citibank, N.A. Bahrain branch’s endeavour to improve the digital experience for its customers in the Kingdom, it announced the launch of its new online banking platform and the Citi Mobile App Service. These two services will make banking online and while on the move easier, effective and, at the same time, more secure. Work began nine months ago on improving the online banking site for Citibank Bahrain’s customers. The result was a revamped and redesigned unique website that offers more capabilities, a user-friendly interface and added security features.

As part of the enhancements, customers can now activate their debit or credit card and set up their PIN on Citibank Online. Also, the customers will be able to link multiple banking accounts under one platform, and get a global view of all their Citibank, N.A. accounts on one webpage. As for the investment and deposit products, it will allow customers to view their premium deposits along with real-time foreign exchange rates. These are only some of the new added features made available by the significant system platform enhancement, making banking faster through an easy-to-use online interface. “Digital technology has changed everything around us and we need to embrace this change and provide our clients with the services they want and need at the time and place that suits them,” says Nader Moosa, consumer market lead at Citibank Bahrain. The bank has also rolled out The Citi Mobile App, which has a world class user interface and includes new opt-in feature, Snapshot, and Touch ID fingerprint identity. Snapshot provides customers with quick access to an overall view of their deposits, credit card balances and recent transactions without having to log into the app. This feature is available on both Android and Apple mobile phone models 5S, 6 and 6+. Touch ID identity sensor allows customers to log into the app using their fingerprint. This functionality is available only to those having Apple mobile phone models 5S, 6 or 6+. “We have been working tirelessly to implement and bring this unique globally consistent experience to our customers,” adds Nader. “We are proud to have successfully launched these two services that involved almost 600 people from different countries around the world.” Visit www.citibank.com/bahrain.
