Redding Rancheria Community Fund Awards Will Assist Fire Impacted Recipients The Redding Rancheria Community Fund, a fund of Shasta Regional Community Foundation, announced Fall 2018 grant awards totaling $94,135 to 13 local organizations in Shasta and Trinity Counties. “The Redding Rancheria Tribal Government made the decision to change the grant designation for those impacted in the 2018 fires. We had Tribal Members and employees who lost their homes in the fires. We knew there was going to be a tremendous need for such things as rental assistance, replacing supplies that were lost, and to help restore the native trees and irrigation systems for our trails along the Sacramento River. We are proud to play our part in helping rebuild our Community that has stood strong and continues to work together to make a better Shasta County.” Said Tracy Edwards, Redding Rancheria’s Chief Executive Officer. With these recent impact awards, the total grants from the Redding Rancheria Community Fund since it was established at the Community Foundation is now over $3 million. “The tremendous partnership between the Redding Rancheria and Shasta Regional Community Foundation has allowed us to serve many of our friends, neighbors, and their families in the wake of the Carr Fire through the work of local nonprofits and public entities,” said Kerry Caranci, Chief Executive Officer at Shasta Regional Community Foundation.
