Dear Parents and Caregivers, What an incredible final week of the term we had in the Primary School! There is no doubt that many exhausted – yet exhilarated – bodies collapsed into bed each evening after the magnificent production of The Lion King Jr. And I am equally sure that everyone will relish a welldeserved rest after what has been a full and productive term. The Year 3-6 students can be justifiably proud of their efforts in this year’s dramatic production. After the pandemic curtailed this very special event on the school’s annual calendar in recent years, it was wonderful to witness it back in its full splendour again. The colourful spectacle of song, dance and acting lived up to (and indeed surpassed) all expectations and I have no doubt that memories of this production will last a lifetime. Of course, no such undertaking happens without an enormous amount of effort from many people. From the earliest stages of dreaming and planning, through the auditions and rehearsals, countless hours were spent honing the finer details. The end result was that the costumes were incredible, as were the colourful sets, all of which formed the perfect backdrop for our students to show off their acting, dancing and singing abilities. This single event perfectly epitomises how it takes a collective effort to make a success of a school term. I am grateful for the involvement of our parents and caregivers, not only in the daily lives of their own children but in the school as a whole. Your enthusiasm and active engagement in so many aspects of the school made a huge difference and for that we are all grateful. I have also appreciated the continued energy and passion shown by our teachers and coaches this past term. We are fortunate to have individuals on our staff who are not only excellent in what they do, but who take a personal interest in the lives of the students, which makes all the difference. I trust that I speak on behalf of the students when I thank the teachers and coaches for all they have done this past term. I continue to marvel at the seemingly effortless way our admin, cleaning and other support staff go about their daily business. We have all been the beneficiaries of their efforts, as the campus has looked wonderful, and the various systems have run smoothly throughout the The Reddam House Primary School Newsletter
