In Science this week the Year 9 students calculated the half-life of M&M's. They investigated the randomness of radioactive decay and had great fun doing it.

Please see the below link for the online uniform shop: REDDAM UNIFORM SHOP It has all the items, pricing, sizing (plus measurement charts), photos etc for families when browsing / purchasing. The delivery days for both campuses are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, the order cut-off time will be 10:00 am on delivery days. MIDDLE SCHOOL ENGLISH Congratulations to the two Middle School students whose poetry has been shortlisted for the Red Room POEM FOREST Prize! These poems have been shortlisted from over 5,000 entries of students and teachers across Australia and have helped to plant a native tree at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan. From seasons to endangered snakes, seeds of hope and spells to grow a tree, you can read the full shortlist and the poems on the POEM FOREST webpage. Jazi and Arlo’s poems are now in the hands of the judges, Dark Emu author, Bruce Pascoe, novelist and host of ABC’s Back To Nature, Holly Ringland, conservation scientist, Dr. Cathy Offord and award-winning youth poet, Solli Raphael. We wish them luck! Navigating strangers online

Young people use digital devices at an ever-increasing rate, influenced by being in lockdown and the resulting accelerated uptake of technology. This has created new friendships and relationships but

also an increased vulnerability. This vodcast by ySafe Cyber Safety Experts aims to dispel some of the untruths which are placing young people at risk online.

“The camera is not broken, if they want to they can Facetime you.” Deepfake technology (computer-generated images of people) compromises safety putting those active in online dating and relationships at risk.

This informative vodcast aims at helping us navigate this emerging concern for online safety in our young people. Watch it here For more information on how to stay safe online visit our Reddam House Cyber Safety Hub
