CONCEPT

CHILD PSHYCOLOGY

The built environment has a huge impact on children and is highly responsible for their molding the social, emotional, psychological, and physical well-being.

Natural Light

Windows and skylights provide a visual release for children and can help brightens the mood and keeps children engaged.

Most children under school age, the the ages between 3 to 6 years show strong interest to colors, but at the age of 7 to 9 years pay attention to forms, and this interest is maximized at age 9 years old.

Color

Different colours will stimulate different emotions. colour has a strong impact on developing children’s cognitive and thinking abilities.

Shapes

Exploring textures and three-dimensional shapes develop an ability to coordinate movements and alignment in children.

HEXAGON

The hexagon is a naturally-occurring shape, which can be seen everywhere Community, creation and balance are just a few of the feelings evoked by this geometric wonder.

The shapes showcase the importance of communication, trustworthiness, and support.

- Each blocks are separeted according to their functions each having their own use of colors and shapes

- the 3 academic blocks with upper floors are connected for easy access and circulation

- Staff rooms are provided in each block accodingly

-Connecting pathway are provided between academi block and canteen to prevent from rain.

Courtyard is an important element in the traditional newari architecture , providing courtyard space in third floor so it can act as a open space where resident can enjoy and socialize . Open spaces provided so that the residents can interact with each other. Stepped terrace planing is done for good lighting as well as ventilations.
