Below is a process diagram visually demonstrating the creative process for the design of a compass manual. To read the chart, begin at “start.” As one follows the arrow, the first circle encountered represents the first day worked, the amount of time differentiated by the diameter of the circle (the scale is found below) and the label at the top of the circle. The steps of the creative proces are define problem, research, brainstorm, sketch, refine, rough, and full composition which are assigned by the color of the circle; the first appearence of a color will be accompained with a label (key is also found below). The flow of the chart can be followed down by the white lines which connect the circles. The intake of caffeinated beverage (always chai tea or coffee) is shown by the icon indicated below and are found on the chart below and to the left of the date. One coffee cup equals one cup of caffeinated beverage (8 ounces); one half of a coffee cup indicates one half of a cup of caffeinated beverage (4 ounces). time in minutes spent in each stage of the creative process demonstrated by diameter of circle 60 minutes
