Client Brief -

A compact 2 storied house, with 5 bedrooms and minimal ground area.

Planning.

The house design was based on each person's idea of an ideal home, with the exterior inspired by their 5-year-old son's dream house painting.

LIVING ROOM

WHITE WALLS, GREY FURNITURE & CURTAINSMINIMALISE STAIN DIRT.

HIGHLIGHT COLOURBLUE N YELLOW TO MAKE IT MORE CHEREFUL

Full-height windows with curtains create spaciousness, a contrast of bright and pale colors is used, and ceiling light fixtures and cove lighting provide even brightness in the room.

KITCHEN

The Kitchen design cannot have many wall cabinets due to 2 large openings on either side. and the wall cutout height is further reduced to incorporate an exhaust hood and small pull up cabinet. (Due to large height of the roomsclosed Loft spaces could be added.)

DINNING ROOM

An elegant dinning space with light falling from above. the wall to the closed sit out could be used as a feature wall with framed family pictures and baby pictures of the child.

A MINIMALISTIC APPROACH WITH WOODEN FURNITURE SET.

A GLASS BLOCK AND BRICK TO BRING IN LIGHT BUT STAY NON OPENABLE.

Dining room and bedroom passage require natural light and ventilation, facilitated by roof cutouts and staircase, visually connecting the house.

Sleek modern bath design with separate wet and dry areas, small washbasin, wall cabinet behind the mirror, and a recessed shelf for shower storage.

KID’SROOM

A simple blue themed room for the child - just by adding a feature wall with blue paint/ wallpaper behind the bed.

A home with an amalgumation of interesting spaces. 4 Bedrooms, 1 office space, Recreational area, sunlight in all rooms, A double sided exterior elevation.

Though 3 cents. The plot is located centrally with a direct axis to 2 parallel roads on either side.

First floor

The rooms are planned in such a way that there is at least one unobstructed window in each room.

Second floor

Large glazed area is used to bring in as much reflected/ diffused daylight as possible at the same time optimized shades are provided to hinder the direct light of the hot summer months. Shaded Skylight is provided for the center rooms also to create a visual connection between floors The underside of the stairecase has been utilized as a study space..

The interior design was done for an Advocate couple who were taking their first big step by starting out their own firm.

Being a small office space, straight parallel lines were used throughout the design to create an illusion of length.

The concept of parallels revolves around the client's core theme of building a parallel atmosphere between work and home and also pursuing their specializations in the same firm.

Neutral colors are mostly used throughout the design.

The pantry space is finished in a monochromatic grey palette. At the same time the principal Advocated room has a dash of colours, The green was chosen to match with the law book set .

Design Evolution

The project was for Adv. Paul Jacob and his wife, who were taking a significant step by opening their own practice. The scope of the project includes everything from developing a brand identity to designing the whole interior of the new workplace.

The client desired the use of letters or abstract forms over a logo that was linked with his profession. As a result, the advocate's initials served as the basis for the logo.

The logo evolved from trying out various hand sketches. Strict geometric lines were applied to fit the firm's interior design philosophy.

As the tagline suggests, the showroom is more than just a display space but a setting where clients would get inspired to recreate the displayed theme. The design is simple and apt to be followed as a signature style through other showrooms as well.

The design was done based on the brief and room size they had provided.

Designing for the Hotel industry requires a higher amount of attention to detail be it the headboard, the skirting or the vestibule area and most importantly the lighting.

Detailing

Illustrated artworks bring a human sensitivity through hand-drawn lines and shapes.

Bold color blockings are used in decor to bring larger amounts of brighter tones to the overall design.

Careful consideration is also given to the choice of colour palette , as the space should cater both the international and national users.

HOTEL SHOWCASE

Location- Nanchang, China

The design was done based on the Global Design Philosophy for the AMER region provided by the client.

The showcase room designed was as a queen size room. And also a few different options for the corridor

The whole setting has been given a simple neat finish.

Minimalism & Maximilism at the same time.

Be it a weekend party or friends / relatives staying over for the night. The sofa bed (FRIHETEN), the multiple small earthy stool (ALSEDA) the stack shelf (LACK series) and the extendable dinning table (EKEDALEN series) has it all covered.

The moodboard was created as a first presentation to understand their liking of the whole theme.

Client - Mr & Mrs. Nair

The 22 msq of area has been designed as the living space of a young couple and their pet cat.

The whole design revolves around the idea of keeping the space look clutter free yet ample storage spaces with just IKEA products.

TESSALLATION

As the name suggests, a tessallating pattern is used throughout the design. Soft fabrics and calm lighting helped create a subtle atmosphere. Combination of traditional bamboo finish and white with a bold dark blue green

as the highlighter depicts the youthfulness.

A UX project in FIGMA

Tasty treats is run by a group of middle aged women. It strives to deliver healthy, customizable home made flavour to the society. They offer a wide spectrum of competitive pricing and customisation. Their target customers are those who lack the time or ability to prepare healthy meals.
