THE ALL-NEW RANGER

The bar has just been raised‌ again. The All-New Ranger is completely new and built to take on the world. A ute built with no compromise, it was tested in the toughest of climates and terrains across 5 continents to ensure its superior durability.

Completely designed around the driver, the All-New Ranger comes equipped with the latest entertainment and connectivity technology, making it feel more like a modern SUV than a hard working ute.

However, its true ute DNA was not neglected. Chassis, drive train and suspension were totally redesigned to achieve towing of up to 3,350kg 1, and payloads up to 1,402kg 2. And when the going gets really tough you can rely on Ranger’s off-road performance, with Locking Rear Differential (LRD) 3 and impressive water wading of up to 800mm4.

The All-New Ranger delivers some of the best technology and quality workmanship in its class. In the course of its development, Ford used the same leading-edge simulation technology as formula one teams, performing more than 1,000 full-vehicle aerodynamic simulations to perfect the shape of the vehicle. A rock-solid under-body gives the vehicle its robust vehicle foundation, while its precise upper body design, delivers the distinct styling that meets Ford’s rigorous functional requirements.

Powering the All-New Ranger is the new generation TDCi Duratorq engine, tested to operate at 400m below and 4,500m above sea-level. So whether you’re driving along 90 Mile beach or climbing the road to Mt. Ruapehu, you’ll have complete confidence that the All-New Ranger is more than capable.

The powerful 3.2L TDCi engine delivers 147kW of power and 470Nm of torque with 90% of peak torque available from 1,500 - 2,750 rpm, providing better engine elasticity. It uses a Variable Geometry Turbo-charger, which enables lower end torque capability to improve launch and driveability to optimise fuel efficiency.

The highly advanced 6-speed sequential automatic transmission, featuring manual sports mode with brake shift interlock and manual override is effortlessly smooth. The new intelligent transmission includes: • Driver Recognition: Tailors its responses to individual driving styles.

• Grade Control Logic: When driving downhill, with sufficient brake pedal pressure, the transmission will downshift to provide increased engine braking.

Active Safety The safety features on the All-New Ranger are designed to help you avoid an accident before it occurs.

The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) program aids vehicle control and capability and includes the following intelligent safety features: • 5 star Euro NCAP & ANCAP safety rating • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) • Emergency Brake Assist (EBA): Maintains maximum brake pressure in emergency stopping situations • Emergency Brake Light (EBL): Signals to other drivers by flashing the indicators when the vehicle decelerates quickly • Hill Descent Control (HDC): Helps the driver stay in control on steep downhill grades1 • Hill Launch Assist (HLA): Helps the driver pull away on steep inclines • Load Adaptive Control (LAC): Provides optimal vehicle stability to help you manage your load • Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM): Helps prevent the vehicle getting into a roll-over situation • Trailer Sway Mitigation (TSM): Provides stability and greater control when towing a trailer Passive Safety The All-New Ranger includes a long list of passive safety features designed to help make every journey a safer one. Boasting a sporty, pumped up exterior and sitting high on 18" alloy wheels, the All-New Ranger Wildtrak says ‘yes’ to whatever adventure you’ve got planned.

The powerful 3.2L TDCi engine gives you the braked towing capacity of up to 3.35 tonne and a payload capacity of up to 976kg, while inside you’ll find a cabin that’s loaded with some of the latest technology. There’s a 5-inch colour display with Satelite Navigation, Bluetooth®1 with voice control and iPod integration2.
