Explore Plaza de Cataluna, Via Laietana, the Cathedral and its cloister, Gothic Quarter, Plaza Sant Jaume (Generalitat and Town Hall). You will continue on to the Villa Olimpica (athletes residential complex during the Olympics) and the Port Olympic (Olimpic harbor).Afterwards you will ascend Montjüic Mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the city and harbor. Tour the Olympic Stadium, Palau Sant Jordi and Calatrava Tower. Visit the Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village) which reproduces the most typical regional architectural styles in Spain. Here you will also be able to taste Catalan Cava, the renowned local sparkling wine. We will then visit Parc Güell, a large garden park in which this genius strove to achieve the perfect integration of architectural elements in nature and wich was declared an artistic monument and a human heritage site by UNESCO. Next, we will see the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece, which is still being built in the same way as the cathedrals of the Middle Ages, with donations and private funds. Finally, we will visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Mar, the only perfectly finished great Catalan Gothic church. ITINERARY: After driving through picturesque little villages you will arrive at the incomparable setting of the mountain of Montserrat, which rises majestically to 4,051 feet (1,235 meters). Next visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which holds the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Virgen Moreneta, the Black Virgin. The Royal Basilica has been one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Spain for hundreds of years. Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to enjoy the city. At acording time you will receive your rental car (GPS, automatic, category K) at the hotel to begin your route through the cellars of Ribera del Duero: You have to drive to Gumiel de Mercado (Burgos) (2 hours and 10 minutes). On the way, just 1 hour from Madrid you find the village Buitrago del Lozoya. It’s really nice place to stop, crossing cultures, Arabs, Christians and Jews lived together in Buitrago. On the streets you find the time signals over the story from the walled town, its gothic church and the castle of Mendoza. The vineyard has 520 acres. 90% of the crop is Tinta Fina (Tempranillo), 7% is Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% is Merlot. Breakfast at the hotel. Today you have to get up early because you have to drive to León (1 hour 20 minutes) to visit the city, you have to be there at 09:45 am; We begin the visit of the city right in the center, in Plaza de Santo Domingo. Right here begins the old town, the ancient Roman military camp and Principalis Puerta. Visit the Museum of Leon tells the story of the city from its beginnings: prehistoric, Roman, medieval, Renaissance and modern. After seeing the museum we will go to San Isidoro, passing the old Roman wall. DAY 2.- MADRID - OVIEDO:

It is set on a series of hills at the foot of Naranco and noted for its beautiful streets, many of them pedestrian. Its monuments are a World Heritage Site and highlights including the Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic Asturias. Breakfast at the hotel. You have to drive to Covadonga, beginning of the reconquest and where you will have free time to visit the Sanctuary and the grotto with the statue of the Virgin. In the afternoon an official guide will be waiting for visiting the city. Walking tour to see the historic center and visit the San Salvador Cathedral in Oviedo. It is a mainly Gothicstyle cathedral. DAY 5.- BURGOS - VALLADOLID - SALAMANCA:

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Valladolid (1 hour 25 minutes), where an official guide will be waiting for visiting the city. Walking tour to see the historic center and visit the Cathedral. Before arrive to Burgos you have to stop very close to Aranda de Duero (2 hours from Madrid) to visit the wine ries “Lagar de Isilla” with tasting, in Antigua Carretera N 122, s/n, La Vid. 09491 (Burgos) (22 minutes from Aranda de Duero). The winery is located in a colonial-style estate of 1,890. Today the winery is located in the old buildings, respecting the materials such as wood and stone accompanied by brick.

DAY 1.- MADRID:

Arrival to Madrid. Transfer from the airport to Abba Atocha hotel 3* or Catalonia Gaudí hotel 4*. Overnight in Madrid. DAY 2.- MADRID:

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to the train station in Madrid where you will depart to Córdoba by fast train (duration 1 hours and 45 minutes). Arrive in Córdoba and transfer from the train station to NH Califa hotel 3* or AC Córdoba hotel 4*. Spare time to enjoy the city. Overnight. DAY 4.- CÓRDOBA:

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Cathedral-Mosque and the Jewish quar ter. Meeting point: 10:15h. a.m. at Calle Doctor Marañón, 1. It takes about 2 hr. There is no doubt that Mezquita de Córdoba (Cordoba’s Mosque), currently a Cathedral, is one of the most amazing monuments in the whole world and the main attraction of the City. Every year, tourists from all around the world come to look at this unique building. We will continue our tour by entering the small narrow streets of La Judería (The Jewish Quarter), to visit Las Flores Street, The Alcázar of the Christian Kings and end up by visiting the only existing Synagogue in Andalucía, of a mudéjar style. Overnight. DAY 5.- CÓRDOBA - SEVILLA:

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to the train station in Córdoba where you will depart to Sevilla by fast train (duration 50 minutes). Arrive in Sevilla and transfer from the train station to the selected hotel. Spare time to enjoy the city. In the afternoon you will get on board a Guadalquivir cruise: Meeting point: at the Paseo Alcalde Marquez de Contadero s/n, you can take a boat every half hour. The last one leaves at 09:00 p.m. You can enjoy the beautiful views that the River Guadalquivir has to offer during the one hour

long trip. From the deck of one of our modern boats, you can see the Plaza de Toros, the ancient bridges, the district of Triana, the pavilions of Expo 92 and the Latin American Exhibition of 1929, the towers of the Plaza of Spain, convents and monasteries, the Monastery of Santa Maria de las Cuevas, where Columbus planned his voyage of discovery, the new bridges built for the Expo and more... Accomodation at Confor tel Puer ta de Triana hotel 3* or NH Central Convenciones hotel 4*. Overnight. DAY 6.- SEVILLA:

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Classic Seville: Depending on the hotel you are staying, a bus will pick up you between 09:30 and 10:00 a.m. ITINERARY: We will depart by vehicle to visit in the innovations in the architecture in Seville in the 1920. Then we will visit the impressive Plaza España, Which is a magnificat sample of the Iberoamerican exposition in 1929. We will also visit the Cathedral, which is the third largest temple in the world and which demonstrates gothic, renaissance and manierist styles. It was built on the site of the main mosque of the town. The orange tree courtyard still remains from the former mosque as well as the Giralda Tower, which is the symbol of the city and from where you can see a breathtaking views of Seville. We will go from the Cathedral to the Golden Tower which contains an important graphic and written exibits relating to the city’s nautical history. We will go on the Santa Cruz quarter, which used to be the jewish district. You will discover the enchantment of its narrow streets, the mysterious small squares that are full of orange tree and flower filled courtyards. On Monday we will visit the Macarena Church instead the Golden Tower. We will finish our visit at the Santa Cruz Quarter after 2 hours aprox. Overnight. DAY 7.- SEVILLA - MADRID:

Arrival to Barcelona, where you’ll be picked up by the transferist who will take you to the Catalonia Atenas Hotel****. This hotel has been declared Historical Monument and it’s located inside the “modernist route” of the city, next to Paseo de Gracia street and the animated commercial city centre area. Rest of the day you’ll have free time to rest or to take a walk by the streets of this cosmopolitan city. Overnight in Barcelona.

After having breakfast, our transferist driver will pick you up at your hotel, at the previous confirmed time, to take you to the train station in order to take the AVE train to Madrid. At your arrival in Madrid there will be a private transferist waiting to take you to the Catalonia Gaudi Hotel ****, which is situated in Madrid’s city centre near to the Cibeles fountain and the “Puerta del Sol”. This hotel is situated in a XX century building, which is near to the Prado and Thyssen Museums, allows you to enjoy the different culture offers that the city has to offer you. Rest of the day free. Overnight.

Breakfast in the hotel and private transfer to the Atocha rail station to take the AVE that will take to you to Cordoba. At the Corboba’s reail station you will meet our driver, who will transfer you to the NH Califa Hotel ***. This hotel is located right in the commercial centre of the city and close to the famous Mosque and five minutes away from the rail station. Rest of the day free, in which we suggested you to prove the well known “tapeo” in some typical Cordoban “tasquita”. Overnight.

DAY 2.- BARCELONA:

After having breakfast, our guide will meet you at your hotel to pick you up to start a private half day walking tour with transfer which includes the Gothic district and Las Ramblas. We’ll start the walking tour in one of the best conserved medieval districts of the world that perfectly combines past and present. Accompanied by an official tour guide we’ll discover the centennial enchantment of its streets, corners and buildings. We’ll visit the Great Liceu Theater and in front we can see the Café of the Opera, one of oldest conserved cafés in Barcelona. After that, our next stop in our walking tour will be the Güell Palace, one of first works of Gaudí. From here we’ll be walking up the Ramblas until we reach the Rambla of Canaletas, which is the high part of the Rambla and then we’ll visit the Rambla dels Estudis and the Boulevard of the Flors, where the Boquería Market is situated. We’ll visit also the Rambla dels Caputxins and we’ll finish the visit with the Rambla of the Sea, having crossed therefore one of the most concurred avenues of Barcelona. Free time to discover the city. Overnight. DAY 3.- BARCELONA:

Free day to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the city of Barcelona in which we will be able to visit the buildings designed by Gaudí or to relax in coctelería Boadas or at the Cafe of the Opera which is normally frequented by tourists and intellectuals. Also you can visit the thematic park of the Poble Espanyol. Overnight.

DAY 7.- CÓRDOBA - SEVILLA: DAY 5.- MADRID:

After having breakfast, our guide will meet you at your hotel to pick you up to start a half day walking tour and visit to the Prado Museum. This museum is the most famous one in lodging the best world-wide collection of Spanish paintings from the XI-XVIII centuries: Greco, Velazquez, Goya… Also there’re other great works of other great Spanish artists from the Gold century and Flamenco, Italian, German, French and English paintings and they have several rooms of Greek and Roman classic sculptures. Walk through the Barrio de las Letras, named in memory of the writers, painters, musicians, scientists, architects, comedians and politicians who lived in this area of Madrid. A historical and literary journey through the spaces inhabited and / or frequented some of the amounts figures of Spanish literature: Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Góngora, Quevedo, Luis Velez de Guevara, Ramon de la Cruz, Moratín, Zorrilla, Echegaray Valle-Inclán ... Itinerary: Plaza de las Cortes, Calle del Prado, Calle Cervantes, Lope de Vega’s house, I remember the houses of Góngora and Quevedo, Church-Convent of the Trinitarians, Calle Huertas and Plaza Santa Ana. Free time in the afternoon to discover the city and we recommend you to visit the Retirement Park with his beautiful gardens or go walking to Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Ópera and visit the Palacio Real. After breakfast, our official tour guide will meet you at your hotel to pick you up to start a walking tour which includes the visit of the Mosque - Cathedral and a splendid stroll by the Judería. Free time until afternoon. At the previous confirmed time our transferist will pick you up to take you to the train station to take the AVE train to Seville. Practical information Documentation required to travel to Spain Documentation required to travel to Spain varies according to the country of origin. If you are a citizen of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein: you need a valid passport or ID card. Under 16s can be included on the passport of their father, mother or tutor, as long as they have the same nationality as the passport holder and are travelling with him/her. Furthermore, if the young person is travelling with an ID card, this should be accompanied by parental authorisation. If you are travelling from one of the following countries (Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, the USA, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Republic of Korea, San Marino, the Vatican, Singapore, Uruguay or Venezuela): you must present a valid passport, which will allow you to remain in Spain for a maximum period of 90 days. If you come from another country, you should apply for a visa from the Spanish Consulate in your place of residence, subject to criteria established by the EU. You will also require a valid passport. You may be required to specify the reason for your application for entrance to Spain. Furthermore, if considered opportune, the Spanish authorities may require a document showing the establishment of accommodation in Spain, confirmation of booking on an organised tour, a return ticket or ticket for a tourist itinerary, or an invitation by a third party. In addition, they may also require you to show that you are in possession of sufficient funds for maintenance during your stay in Spain. It is advisable to take out travel insurance for your trip.

Documentation required to drive in Spain To drive in Spain you must be aged 18 or over. To rent a vehicle you must be 21 or over. Many companies also require you to have held your driver’s license for a minimum of one or two years. Remember that you will also require a credit card to rent a vehicle. If you are the citizen of an EU member state, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, or of one of the countries that has adopted the standard license as agreed in the Geneva or Vienna conventions: you only require your valid driver’s license. If you are

from another country you will require an International Driver’s License. Given that conditions may vary, we suggest that you contact the Spanish Embassy or Consulate to verify these requirements before you start your trip. When you pick up a rental car they will ask you for a credit card.

The weather in Spain Spain, one of the warmest countries in Europe: Spain has a predominantly warm Mediterranean climate, with dry summers and winters with balanced temperatures. Here you can enjoy more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. It is no surprise, then, that this is one of the warmest parts of Europe. Nevertheless, variety is the main characteristic of the climate here, due to Spain’s immense geographical diversity.

Safety In general terms, Spain is one of the safest countries in Europe for visiting tourists. As in any country, there are basic security measures to bear in mind… Try not to walk around empty streets or poorly-lit areas, and avoid street gambling stalls. Try to carry only the money you need for any one excursion. Take care of your possessions in crowded places such as public transport or department stores. When relaxing in public places, keep valuable objects like mobile phones and cameras out of view. Do not forget advice from security experts: Prevention is the best cure for this kind of problem. Money and currency The currency in Spain is the euro, as in other European Union countries. The euro is divided into 100 cents. • There are eight different coins: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent, and 1 and 2 Euro. • There are seven different bank notes, for the following amounts: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euro. The average price for products and services varies depending on the province you are visiting, and the season. As a reference, we provide a list of approximate prices for services and products: • A single metro (underground) or bus ticket costs around €1. • A glass of beer costs between € 2 and € 6, the latter at a fashionable place. • A ticket to the cinema costs between € 6 and € 9. • A ticket to the theatre costs between € 15 and € 40.

• A ticket to the opera or a concert could cost between €55 and €110. A breakfast special, including a cup of coffee, a bun or pastry, and a glass of juice costs between € 3 and € 6, depending on where you go. A daily special at an inexpensive restaurant costs between € 10 and € 15. If you are choosing from the regular menu, the price starts at € 18, while at a medium-priced restaurant, it would start at € 36 per person. At a high price restaurant, the price per person can come to € 90. Payment using recognised international credit cards is also commonly available in Spanish shops. They usually have signs indicating this option at the entrance to the establishment. When you make a payment you should show your passport or ID card. Traveller’s cheques, accompanied by a passport, are also accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops. In every single establishment in Spain, service is included with the price of the meal or drink. However, tipping is a common practice at bars and restaurants, hotels, and taxis, depending on the total price for the service, and on the generosity of the client. It is usually around five to ten percent of the total price.

Time, schedules and public holidays Breakfast is usually had from eight to ten in the morning. Lunch, at restaurants, is served between 13.00 to 15.30 h. Dinner is served from 20.30 to 23.00 h. Many establishments are open continuously throughout the day, especially bars and cafeterias; there you can have “tapas”, appetisers, and combo meals. Cinemas usually have flexible hours, starting around 16.30 to 17.00 h. The last showing is around 22.00, although there are cinemas with midnight shows in all major cities. Theatres usually have a single show, which normally starts around 20.00 h. Night time in Spain has a very special meaning, specially from Thursday to Sunday. Pubs, bars, and nightclubs usually stay open until three or four in the morning. In all major cities you can find places that are open until dawn. Certain dates are public holidays in Spain, and they can be national, regional or local. The most common business hours are Monday through Saturday, from 9.30 h to 14.00 h, and from 16.30 to 20.00 h. Big shopping centres and department stores open from 10.00 h to 21.00 or 22.00 h uninterruptedly. These big stores open sometimes on Sunday. In coastal cities, in high season,

shops are usually open passed 22.00 h. Pharmacies open from 9.30 to 13.30 h, and from 16.30 to 20.00 h. In all major cities you can find pharmacies that open 24 hours. Pharmacies follow a rolling late-hour schedule, which is published in the newspapers, and is posted at all pharmacies.

Hotels Hotels, under normal conditions, will hold room reservations until 6:00 PM on the scheduled date of arrival. If, for any reason you will have a late arrival, it is suggested you call the hotel ahead of time and advise the Front Desk staff of your late arrival. When checking into a hotel you will often be asked to provide a credit card to pay for eventual incidental charges, such as telephone calls, room service, in room movies, mini-bar, etc. Many city hotels charge a parking fee, which you have to pay directly to the hotel. Please check the rate at your hotel before parking the car. When you check out of your room (between 11:00 h and 13:00 h, depending on each hotel), be sure to return room keys to the front desk and pay any incidental charges you may have incurred.

Driving tips Be sure to familiarize yourself with the laws in Spain before departure. Most important is to drive defensively and never assume anything. For your safety and by law it is required that you wear seat belts at all times while driving, even if you are sitting in the back seats. Observe posted speed limits. Highways are often patrolled by “radar” and sometimes even by plane or helicopter. Speeding fines are expensive. Slower traffic should stay in the right lanes and passing should only be done to the left. Be sure you are in possession of a legal International Drivers License and keep it with you at all times. Remember to keep an eye on fuel and water level gauges, as distances between gas station are sometimes long in certain regions. If you get lost, you will find that, generally, people in Spain are very cooperative and helpful to international visitors. Stop at the nearest gas station for road information or assistance. The gas stations have pumps for: • SELF-SERVICE- fill your own gas tank. • FULL SERVICE- an attendant will fill your tank.
