Types of Reports

The Teacher Dashboard offers a variety of reports to monitor student growth and progress. Reading Playground Reports allow educators to make instructional decisions based on student data.

Unit Performance Report

The Unit Performance Report reflects the average score of the unit games completed by each student. This report is a great way to see the big picture of how your class is performing.

Activity Performance Report

Each unit in the Reading Playground corresponds directly with a unit in either Countdown, Blast, or HD Word. This report is a helpful way to determine which students are on their way to proficiency and which students would benefit from additional instruction and practice.

Skills Performance Report

Each Reading Playground game assesses a unique skill taught within the current unit. The Skills Performance Report will reflect student understanding of each skill. This report allows you to filter student performance within a specific skill.

Assessment Performance Report

The Beginning of Program (BOP) Baseline assessment helps teachers determine students’ background knowledge of the concepts taught in each program at the start of the year.

The BOP Baseline assessment is a series of games that target concepts and skills taught in each program. The overall score on the assessment games can be used to indicate a student's general knowledge and the appropriate next steps for each student as they begin the program. There is also a 1:1 oral decoding component that allows students to read words individually while you track their miscues.

Online Activity Report

As a Reading Playground user, you can start a live Online Activity session with a class in the Reading Playground through Build a Word Online or Multisyllabic Word Work. Utilizing the Online Activity is helpful if you would like a report that captures student work in the Build a Word routine and Reading Multisyllabic Words routine found in your Teacher’s Guide.
