elcome to the 2022 Artisan Home Tour, sponsored by Ferguson Enterprises and hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). This tour is

the KCHBA’s bi-annual showcase of one-of-a-kind homes created by some of our finest custom home builders. Many of you are familiar with the 70-plus year tradition known as the Parade of Homes that generations of home buyers have enjoyed. With this event, we invite you to discover why more and more homebuyers are choosing to make their dreams of a custom home a reality. As chairman of the Artisan committee and architectural reviewer, I examined each builder’s architectural plans to ensure they meet the standards of an artisan, custom home. The plans were measured against the highest-quality standards in areas ranging from exteriors, millwork, windows, and doors to roofing, flooring, furnishings and landscaping. KCHBA’s custom home builders design and construct homes with skilled craftsmanship and the finest materials — the kind of detail and character that you don’t find just anywhere. The homes on the Artisan Tour are the pinnacle of custom home building with elevated standards of design, superior craftsmanship and exquisite products. We are thrilled to feature 11 Artisan homes and their builders during the weekends (Friday – Sunday) of June 3-19. Please note: Home no. 12 will NOT be open June 10-12. Also, there is no home #5. This guide is one way to get acquainted with the tour, builders and homes. We are also proud that this event will support JDRF, formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF works to fight type 1 diabetes through funding research, advocating for government action and improving the lives of people burdened by the disease. Begin your tour at any home and the ticket processor will activate your ticket. You’ll be able to tour each home once during any day of the event, June 3-10, 10-12 and 17-19. What if I only want to visit one home? If you have a favorite builder or only want to visit a home near you, single home tickets can be purchased at each home for just $10. Is there a mobile app I can download to my smartphone? Yes. From a mobile phone, go to the Artisan Home Tour website, ArtisanHomeTourKC.org, and click on the link to the app. Follow directions to download it and enjoy the features including buying tickets, viewing homes and features, and seeing maps to the locations.
