Our commercial architecture and interiors are designed for business. By melding function with style, we combine good design elements into a building that meets both current and future needs for our clients. Through an open dialogue, we can better understand how they conduct business, their practical requirements, and their aspirations—turning vision into reality.

Architecture, Incorporated has the depth of resources, knowledge, and skills to deliver a broad range and size of projects. CURRENT SALON

The owner of Current Salon wanted to draw people into the new location by creating a unique salon with studio-style open spaces—Soho-inspired, high-end, and chic. With a goal to make the salon experience a relaxing retreat, crisp white walls, Carrera marble, and polished brass accents contrast with rusticated concrete tiles and textural applied brick walls—the aesthetic of a sophisticated urban loft. Brushed brass custom mirrors also enhance the height of the space, while copper and brass lighting above the reception desk add sparkle and draw the eye from the street. Large, full-wall custom graphics create a strong identity for the salon—a vibrant eclectic backdrop.

Shampoo stations are separated to create a more private experience, while the styling area is visible to the outside so passersby can see into the space. Current Salon features a color bar, which allows clients to partake in the hair coloring discussion, and watch as their custom color is mixed. There is also a private room for special events and bridal parties. Retail is available in backlit niches adjacent to the reception and waiting area; a coffee bar is available to serve customers while they have their hair processed; and comfortable custom banquette-style seating is designed as a feature as well as function.

FORBRIGHT BANK

The design features of the multiple Forbright Bank branch locations, totaling more than 4,500 sf, are tailored to ensure clients feel esteemed and at ease when entering the street-level build-outs. Each location resonates with the essence of modern banking and comprises a teller station, ATM, private offices, and a pantry.

Elements such as wood, slat ceilings, greenery, and sustainable finishes are implemented in the lobby and common areas to align with the bank’s mission to build a more sustainable future while offering outstanding service.

CASE STUDY

CURVY GIRLS BRIDAL

This unique bridal shop was designed to provide an environment where brides-to-be feel special and pampered. The design goal was to incorporate curves to complement and reinforce the brand. The space is located in the wedge-shaped corner of a boomerang shaped building, typically considered the least desirable space in a retail building because of the lower storefront window to square footage ratio of the space. Instead, the circular design concept uses the unique shape to its advantage maximizing the flow and movement of the brides through the space.

Clients are drawn into and through the space by the curved pathways and display areas. The central circular bridal dressing area is the hub of this very special experience. Suspended white ceiling “clouds” create a more fanciful environment and the higher black suspended ceilings with white globe pendant lights emulate stars in a night sky.

COFFEE SHOP

This small but robust 1,000 sf coffee shop is located on the second floor of an office building at the convergence of several bustling interior corridors connecting over 600,000 sf of diverse, general office space. While the taste and aroma are important, so is the ambiance and the character of the space. The design concept provides all parties with the opportunity to collect their thoughts while enjoying the view of the seasonal foliage beyond or have comfortable roundtable discussions before heading to individual offices or conference rooms above.

The space is contemporary and sleek with bright, crisp colors designed to uplift people as they prepare for daily tasks. The Terrazzo flooring and the hickory wood plank ceiling, installed at a playful slant, call out the menu boards and reach-in coolers. Lighting was placed comfortably between the acoustical wooden slats just out of sight. A roll up security grill is also provided, framed by a hickory wood portal as you enter the shop.
