ReHats Berlin has been making hats and caps from unusual materials since 2015. For our collections we exclusively work with reused materials such as original coffee bags, recycled workwear, revived jeans and fabric remnants from textile production. That is why all variations of our hats and caps are always strictly limited.

In order to guarantee the best quality of hats, we cooperate with a Polish family business operating in third generation.

Only traditional machines are used. But also a lot of attention to detail: from the high-quality hatbands, the inner lining made of cotton fabrics, to the original ReHats metal emblem.

Sustainable fashion is no longer a niche product and so our hats have already established themselves as true classics. As individual eye-catchers, they are also very popular with somewhat older target groups. They especially appreciate our headwear for character heads and know - every ReHat is unique as them.

Green extra bonus: Each of our hats saves around 2,500 liters of water. In addition, we also plant three trees for every piece sold through the Eden Reforestation Project.

COFFEE TO GO From roastery to head The whole world loves coffee! Around 140 million coffee bags are produced every. After traveling around the globe, their journey ends almost as good as new, in one of Europe’s countless coffee roasteries. So why not reuse what is too valuable to throw away?

Our collection COFFEE TO GO has meanwhile become a popular evergreen. The hats and caps made from original jute bags are sought-after collector’s items among ReFans, as we offer constantly changing motifs from all over the world. No two hats are alike, so everyone can find their own personal, unique ReHat. From one bag we create one hat or up to three caps.

We source the special jute bags from local roasters, where we carefully select them, sort them by hand and also cut them individually by hand. We then use traditional hat presses to make our COFFEE TO GO headwear from the breathable natural material. Extraordinary eye-catchers, for people who are looking for something special. looking for something special.

Black Coffee

GEWERKSCHAFT From blue collar to mayor Wherever there is work, there is also workwear. The supposedly worn-out jackets and dungarees find a new calling as extraordinary headwear with us. In Germany alone, 17 million boilersuit are in use every year. Far too often, these are simply replaced, even though they show only slight signs of usage.

We make virtually indestructible hats and caps out of the raw, still long-lasting materials. We assemble the materials in such a way that at least one original detail is preserved, which gives an indication of the origin of the material.

The cutting is particularly complex, since we determine in advance exactly which part of the boilersuit will end up where.

We source all raw materials for the collection GEWERKSCHAFT from social projects. A hat from this collection saves 2,500 liters of water compared to one made from new cotton fabrics.

GOLDRAUSCH From dirty denim zu happy hats We have “dug” deep in the abysses of the fashion industry and found a real treasure: jeans. With our collection GOLDRAUSCH, we give elaborately produced denim a second life as timelessly cool headwear. Depending on the texture, we make one to three hats or caps from each pair of pants, thus extending the life of the textiles.

With denim, we have tackled a real environmental polluter, because the production of a single pair of jeans uses around 8,000 liters of water and up to two kilos of chemicals. Every year, around 190 million pairs of jeans are imported into Germany, traveling around 50,000 kilometers before they end up in German closets with an average of seven other pairs of jeans. After a maximum of three years, however, they are already thrown away again.

An enormous waste of resources for a fairly short wearing time!

We want to put an end to this with GOLDRAUSCH. During our treasure hunt we also found a few “black sheep”.

From which we have made a special edition. Therefore, there are two models also made of black jeans, with hatband made of real vintage ties.

EISZEIT Coole Caps for warm ears For our beanies, discarded jeans and other cotton textiles, are broken down into their individual fibers in order to make yarn from them.

These fibers are not dyed, but sorted by color in their original state and then directly processed further. This makes the recycling process particularly environmentally friendly.

Each cap saves up to 850 liters of water compared to beanies that were made with specially produced yarn.

The beanies are fairly produced in the EU and consist of up to 92% from recycled cotton.

The fibers are pleasantly soft, but grippy. Which creates a very special feel. Five popular cuts from classic to hip ensure warm ears even in the coldest months. All beanies are one size fits all and have a ReHats logo patch that is best worn on the front left.

Care: Hand wash 30 degrees.
