PP RTR BHUVAN R Y Message From Charter President

As the old kannada quote suggests ‘Desha sutti nodu, kosha oodi nodu’ which translates as - Look around the country, read scriptures and learn. This ageold knowledge emphasizes how enriching it is to travel across many cultures, interact with different people, and immerse oneself in new environments. It highlights the need for lifelong learning in a variety of fields in order to reach enlightenment and fulfillment.

The tourist sector in Karnataka is a complex web intertwined with spirituality, history, and adventure. The state's natural beauties are equally captivating; adventure seekers and nature lovers alike are drawn to the lush woods of the Western Ghats, the tranquil beaches of Gokarna and Karwar, and the misty hills of Coorg. The wildlife reserves of Karnataka, including Bandipur and Nagarhole, are havens for biodiversity They provide exciting safari experiences and vistas of unusual species. The Deccan Plateaus, with its rocky architecture, is another amazing sight.

A few of my favorite places include Maravanthe, Sakleshpura, Mangalore, Madikere, Kabini, Hampi etc

As a professional, working for the welfare of the state, I must mention economic development this industry brings in It impacts the revenue of the state, cultural preservation, Infrastructure development, improved quality of life, growth of GDP and encourages conservation of bio-diversity.

The 2024 Union Budget has promised significant investments in the tourism industry and we Rotaractors, must take part in developing domestic tourism and engage ourselves in more IDYEs and cultural exchange projects.

As a Charter President of Rotaract Club of Banashankari, I take the proud to say that we have contributed to the same by organizing MegaTrek – our biggest club service project which promotes different trekking locations around Bangalore and has also aided the neo-natal heart surgeries for underprivileged kids.
