Dear Firstname:
As I plan to retire after more than five decades practicing medicine and retirement beckons, I know it will be difficult to end the practice I love so dearly.
But the end won’t be abrupt.
Yes, I know that finding a primary care physician in Marin County can be challenging. That’s why I have been making plans to help smooth the transition of my practice to a new physician – one who shares my values and dedication to providing quality care.
I am delighted to introduce you to my new associate and successor, Dr. Doug Cohen. We have been working together for months now, and we will continue to practice together until the end of 2025. He is beginning to see patients in my office, building his own concierge practice, while getting to know my patients prior to our transition next year.
Enclosed is brief introduction to Dr. Cohen and information on how I plan to adjust and prorate my own fee through the end of the year.
Although practice membership will continue to be fixed at a maximum of 350 patients, Dr. Cohen is open to referrals from anyone you know who may want to join the practice. If you do – or have other questions – please call Patty Aaberg to schedule an appointment.
I am very thankful that Dr. Cohen has agreed to come aboard to take care of your needs if you decide to continue your membership.
Yet I am also grateful to you – and all my patients over the years. I appreciate all of your support, trust, and friendship.
It’s been my honor!
