1000 HINTERLAND ACRES UNBOUND TOURISM POTENTIAL

OUR VISION TO DELIVER A WORLD-CLASS MAINLAND TOURISM DESTINATION FOR THE WHITSUNDAYS.

Twenty years in the making and motivated by Destination 2045, Twin Creeeks Whitsundays is strategically positioned to deliver a rare 1,000 acre, ecotourism inspired precinct as an early to market flagship project of Destination 2045.
Twin Creeks Whitsundays vertically aligns with the objectives and priorities of Destination 2045. Importantly, it is enabled by private land tenure with a unique council approved master plan for tourism. The development boldly articulates its readiness to be identified and delivered as a 45 for 45 project.
Critically, the Twin Creeks project unlocks significant private investment into the Queensland tourism industry creating high value, low impact, world class experiences on privately held land addressing the identified gap in mainland tourism accommodation and experiences for the iconic Whitsundays region.

Twin Creeks positively contributes to the successful achievement of twelve (12) of the Destination 2045 Plan initiatives.

Twin Creeks Whitsundays is strategically and uniquely positioned to deliver the approved master plan, retaining its own Council-approved Twin Creeks Eco Park Development Code within the Whitsunday Regional Planning Council Scheme 2017.

The Whitsundays is an iconic Queensland tourism destination, famously identified as the heart of the Great Barrier Reef with its network of 74 islands.
The township of Airlie Beach is the mainland hub of the region’s tourism economy connected to the Conway National Park with its mainland airport, the Whitsunday Coast Airport located at Proserpine.
Tourism is a critical driver of the regional economy welcoming 1.289m visitors generating $1.756b in regional expenditure with one in five jobs directly servicing the sector.
Tourism Whitsundays Destination Management Plan (DMP) 2024 – 2028 articulates a mission to:
“Promote and market the destination globally, driving sustainable growth, visitor dispersal, and visitor spend in the region and supporting the safeguarding of the region’s unique lifestyle and natural environment.”
Its goal – to increase overnight visitor expenditure to $2.1bn by 2032.
The Whitsundays is the Brisbane 2032 host destination for sailing.

The DMP identifies the critical indicators to achieve the region’s goal by 2032. The below table articulates the major factors the Twin Creeks Whitsundays development will deliver upon to support the region to achieve its Tourism Whitsundays aspirations:
KEY IDENTIFIED TOURISM NEEDS
Attract new investment in tourism
Address lack of land-based product & experiences
$106.5M of tourism infrastructure to be delivered by 2030.

Attract new investment in accommodation to address the shortfall
Deliver regional storytelling and experiences in partnership with First Nations People
Whitsunday Trails Strategy
Increase tourism economic value
A comprehensive range of packageable experiences will be delivered across ecotourism, cultural heritage, dark sky, mountain biking and festivals and events forecast to attract 230,000 visitors by 2031.
By 2030, Twin Creeks Whitsundays accommodation product will conservatively deliver 194,000 visitor nights per annum.

The extensive tree canopy and mountainous terrain will accommodate nature based adventure experiences in harmony with the natural environment with activities including zip lines, adventure ropes courses and a luge perfectly suited to delivering family experiences.
The first 15km of recreation trails will be completed by the end of 2025. By 2030 Twin Creeks will offer 70km of trails for all abilities including accessible trails, a pump track, bike washing and maintenance amenities.
Respected tourism operators Ride Whitsunday has been appointed to manage the mountain biking activities. They are an eco-certified tourism operator.

The hinterland tropical natural environment and the significant diversity of accommodation potential across the precinct presents a compelling case for a high value range of health & wellness tourism related products and experiences including possibilities for a luxe wellness resort, yoga retreats, guided hikes and experiences and cultural experiences.
Twin Creeks Whitsundays will positively enable opportunities to attract new festivals and events to the Whitsundays Region increasing visitation and length of stay whilst enhancing community liveability through the provision of a diverse range of programming of art, cultural and sporting festivals and events.
The diversity of built form, natural environment and master plan approvals will make Twin Creeks an attractive destination for events such as:

The Whitsundays surrounded by lush agricultural land, produces an abundance of fresh local produce including mangoes, melons, tomatoes, capsicums, sugar cane and of course exquisite seafood.
The diversity of accommodation and hospitality venues envisioned for Twin Creeks Whitsundays provides a valuable platform for local producers to showcase their produce and for our regional visitors to delight in all that the Whitsundays has to offer from a food & beverage perspective.
The Tourism Whitsundays Destination Management Plan has identified a significant shortfall of approximately 3,200 bed nights across the region.
By the conclusion of 2030, Twin Creeks Whitsundays has the capacity to deliver a Tourist Park, luxe cabins and villas, plus an accommodation village suitable for groups delivering over 194,000 visitor nights in its first full year of operation, providing a substantial boost to regional capacity and economic growth.
Importantly, the Twin Creeks Eco Parks Code also enables short-term holiday letting, further enhancing flexibility and the diversity of accommodation options available.

Embracing the growing demand for regenerative tourism, through the Twin Creeks Ranger Program and master plan execution, Twin Creeks Whitsundays will exert care and guardianship of our environment and provide our visitors the opportunity to leave their own positive impact on the environment through regenerative tourism experiences.
At the core of Twin Creeks vision is offering experiences and facilities that actively celebrate the natural environment, while protecting it for the future. Guests are encouraged to explore and enjoy the property in ways that deepen their connection to the land, culture, and wildlife, ensuring their visit leaves a positive impact on both the community and the landscape.
Twin Creeks Whitsundays is committed to adopting sustainable and accessible design principles across the precinct.
Our Project Inclusive Coordinator, Mark Forzatti, is advising the project team on the opportunities to include accessible tourism activities into the precinct design including adventure and nature based experiences and the accessible design of accommodation and facilities.
We’re building a place where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can connect with nature, community, and each other. A place designed not just to be accessible, but to feel inclusive from the start. Whether it’s adaptive mountain biking, fishing, camping, or just gathering around a fire - we want everyone to feel like they belong.

We are proud to have launched the Whitsundays’ first Indigenous Ranger Program, based at Twin Creeks, a place where land, culture, and community converge.
This landmark initiative is the result of years of consultation, respect, and co-design with the Gia and Ngaro First Nations peoples, whose ancestral connection to this region stretches back over 60,000 years. Supported by local, state, and federal government bodies, the program is set to transform lives, landscapes, and legacies.
The Twin Creeks Ranger Program represents more than just a conservation project — it is a movement for reconciliation, regeneration, and revitalisation.
Real Training. Real Impact. Real Futures.
The Indigenous Ranger Program creates pathways to long-term employment and certified training for local Indigenous youth who want to make a difference on Country and in their communities. Rangers receive mentoring and hands-on experience in conservation land management, environmental science, cultural heritage protection, fire management, sustainable tourism, and more.

Our first cohort, guided by the expert Hidden Valley construction and ecological teams, are already putting their training into practice. Blending ancient traditions with modern environmental science, these rangers are building practical skills, strong identities, and brighter futures.
