This Elementary Education degree can be completed as a schoolbased program, cohort program, or traditional program and includes at least one semester of student teaching. Upon graduation, students are eligible for state certification in Elementary Education for grades 1-8. NAU is the only Arizona university accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Bachelor’s degrees are delivered in a 90/30 format, where students transfer up to 90 credits and take the remaining 30 credits in their specified degree field. With a blended curriculum (in class and
online), students can continue to work or tend to other obligations while earning their degree. Each class meets one evening per week in 8-week blocks, and students typically take six credits per session. Our graduates are starting their own businesses, landing great jobs, and being admitted to prestigious graduate schools domestically and abroad.
