Lucuma Powder
Our Lucuma Powder is a nutritious, naturally sweet, cream coloured powder made from the pulverised dried fruit of the Lucuma fruit tree, which grows in South America. The fresh Lucuma fruit looks somewhat like a large mango, with the flesh inside resembling a hardboiled egg yolk. In its raw powdered form, Lucuma fruit has a sweet, malty, biscuity flavour and is most often used to add nutritional value and sweetness to healthy recipes. It has high concentrations of calcium, phosphorus, beta-carotene, vitamins C and B3, fibre, iron and other valuable nutrients. Lucuma Powder tastes great 1 Banana in raw desserts & chocolate, ½ Avocado milky drinks & smoothies. 1 heaped tbsp Lucuma Powder It can also be used to Pinch Vanilla powder sweeten baked cakes, A little water cookies and pastries. Blend all ingredients together adding a little water until desired consistency is reached. Makes a lovely light dessert or a nutritious baby’s breakfast!
