It was created as a newly built industrial settlement, not far from the Aluminum Plant Talum. If you avoid the Pragersko railway crossing on the route Slovenska Bistrica - Ptuj, you will encounter the Šikole board at the end of the bypass. Freshly milked and still warm, we take the milk to the cheese factory, where we turn it into delicious yogurts, cottage cheese, spreads with added oils, cheese and other dairy goodness. If you do not believe it, come and see.

The farm has a long tradition and with a conversion to ecological farming it brings a fresh and reassuring touch, with which we respond to the micro world around us and turn it into a friendlier and healthier environment. Nona Neža was our grandmother, a woman with immense energy and with this energy we strive to create high quality products. »We do it differently!« We produce pumpkins from old autochthonous varieties that give the top quality to our pumpkin seed oil, cannabis, sunflower seeds, false flax, flax (linseed), beans, millet, spelt, buckwheat, rye and maize. We dry all the raw materials on heated air, clean them and then process them. In our home store you can choose from a variety of seeds, flours and meals from the home mill, porridges, teas, cold pressed oils from domestic press, pumpkin seed oil and business gifts.

The story about the Alu apple tree The apple tree is a contact with the original and natural which, in an unobtrusive way, makes us aware that everything in its dynamics is subjected to change; and we must take that as a challenge for our growth.

The story about Šumar Šumari or foresters live deep in the heart of the forests, and only those who believe in them and who respectfully touch nature can see them. Like aluminum changes its image, Šumari also have many perceptible shapes and faces. Dwarfs are nothing but earth itself. The sensuality of alumina is passionately cast into a silver light metal in the grunge of fire, in which each captures its reflection. It reflects the parallel worlds, which in the hands of the artist Tomaž Plavec, revived and formed into a modern myth.

Into it blends the rich tradition of the environment, which we belong to for more than 60 years.

The largest museum of minerals and fossils in Slovenia. The museum has recorded over 7000 exhibits from all over the world.

Gallery FO.VI

“Field of Vision”.

Gallery FO.VI in Strnišče, near Kidričevo, is one of the reference Slovenian exhibitions, which regularly organizes independent and group exhibitions of Slovenian and foreign artists. It is also one of the annual venues of the largest Slovenian contemporary art festival ArtStays in early July, in the city of Ptuj.

From the beginning, the gallery is internationally oriented, since it hosts exhibitions of artists from Italy, Austria, Germany and of course Slovenia. 1 The municipality of Starše lies in the central part of Dravsko polje, on a wide plain that is rich in cultural and historical heritage, as evidenced by many beautifully preserved churches, chapels, tombs and sacral monuments. A number of active options are available to the modern tourist here. There is the Regional Park Drava, which comprises the area along the river Drava and runs between cities Maribor and Ptuj. The inn got the name after the Scotch, who long ago used to live in the castle Ptuj. It is located along the main road Maribor – Ptuj, in Zlatoličje.

We have been baking for years and we are traditionally passing it on to younger generations.

The aroma of freshly baked bread, famous Slovenian potica and gibanica, is one the most pleasant stimuli that excites our senses. Adding the taste of homemade ingredients, baking in a bread oven in a traditional way and a housewife's hand, we get the rich products that are representing farm Šolar.

Today, we are nostalgically returning to bread, potica and gibanica, and baking them, like our grandmothers used to.

Baked crust and solid core are the two things that adorn our products.

Farm Golob “Farm since 1864 - more than 150 years”.

We are the fourth generation on the farm.

The story of the farm was built with dried meat products: among them there is the papa’s dried sausage (because John's grandfather sent his sons such a sausage to the front, and many times they actually got it). The present owners still make the sausage according to the old recipe. On the farm we offer also other dried meat products, as well as salami with pumpkin seeds, homemade “bunka” (a type of cured sausage consisting of air dried meat), dry bacon, roasted bacon, ham, Aljaz's sausage, homemade Styrian sausage (for cooking), meat from “tunka” and minced lard with pumpkin seeds.

Less than 100 meters travels the yogurt which you can buy in the home shop at Selinšek farm. In the former village milk repository in Starše, you can find homemade yogurt, curd, cottage cheese, different kind of spreads and several types of cheese. ”A song of a mill’s wheel, which was sometimes heard far away has quiet down years ago, but the tradition at Farm Pal still lives.”

In the idyllic location in the middle of the fields, home-made oils are still dribbling down the mill. In addition to the classic pumpkin seed oil and sunflower oil, mistress Anka will provide a healing cannabis oil, with a good harvest even walnut oil or excellent pumpkin seed oil with roasted onion, which will give your meals a brand new taste.

Today, instead of the mills, you can hear the rumble of the collection of tractors, getting bigger from year to year. With great pleasure, lord Marjan will take you through the history of the farm and show you the tractor collection - from the oldest and smallest forward.

www.starse.si “Bučijada” (pumpkin fest) is an event that takes place in the middle of September. Every year, a few local farms strive to raise the largest and most beautiful pumpkin that they can showcase. In addition to admiring the pumpkins, they are preparing and serving different pumpkin dishes.

“Špargljijada” (asparagus festival) takes place every year in the first weekend after Labour day.

Visitors are pampered with culinary delights, since the local chefs are literally playing with tastes. Of course, music and fun are not missing.
