2025 Ravine Creek Ranch Catalog

Welcome!

We’re thrilled to celebrate 20 years with you—our valued customers and fellow cattle producers. Every breeding decision we make is with your success in mind, and we’re committed to using the best genetics available to enhance the traits that matter most to your bottom line. Our focus remains on calving ease, big weaning weights, and strong maternal traits, along with carcass qualities that make your calves more desirable when it’s time to market them. This year, we’ve taken extra steps with DNA testing to ensure that our breeding stock is free of any known genetic abnormalities—because quality and reliability matter.

We know that bull fertility starts with proper nutrition, so we’re keeping our yearling bulls until April 15th to ensure they have the time and resources to develop to their full potential. If you’re purchasing 2-year-old bulls or heifers, they can head home with you on sale day, or we’re happy to work with you in the following week to arrange delivery.

It’s an exciting time to be in the cattle business, with top prices in the market—and time and time again, Hereford-influenced cattle are leading the way! We truly appreciate your interest in our offering and look forward to helping you find the bulls and females that will bring long-term success to your operation.

If you have any questions about our sale lineup, don’t hesitate to call or text—we’re happy to help however we can. We can’t wait to see you on sale day!

CED: Calving Ease Direct

BW: Birth Weight

WW: Weaning Weight

YW: Yearling Weight

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE:

BW-actual weight at birth

M&G: Milk & Growth

CEM: Calving Ease Maternal

REA: Rib Eye Area

WWR-ratio compared to other calves 205 day weight in same herd

IMF: Intramuscular Fat Or Marbling

CHB: Selected and weighted traits of an animal that reflect the animal’s feedlot and carcass profit potential.

CALVING EASE: There is more to calving ease than birth weight. Birth weight, shape of calf at birth, pelvic area, size of cow and nutrition during gestation can all effect calving ease. CED, BW and MCE should all be considered when selecting bulls. Continued selection for just light BW can lead to low growth rates.

All registered lots have been screened or DNA tested and are free of all known genetic abnormalities. Bulls have the greatest economic impact on any breeding program. 80% of the improvement in a herd over time is attributed to bull selection.

Dams of Distinction are noted by an * in the pedigrees.

Ravine Creek Ranch averages are the average of all yearling bulls.
