Somthing missing There is a lack of event that foster students to introduce creative programs that inspire them to connect to the larger group of people.

Fill out the structure With an open call from Think Fast, Play Faster, a student-run group supported by an architecture teacher with a vision for new campus activities, SaiSai Cafe emerged as a potential venue for students to showcase their work or host events, aiming to attract a larger audience. Despite primarily serving daily coffee drinkers during the day, the cafe remained unoccupied at night, presenting untapped potential for various activities within its space. Recognizing the scarcity of campus events that promote student collaboration and reflect current art and design trends, we propose a creative event spanning from exhibitions to music parties to fully utilize the cafe's infrastructure.

Programs that bring art & design students together

Process in making is an important part in the event as it is a collaborative process that artists get to exchange their idea.collaboration of two artists

The programs of event is arranged throughout the cafe. The seperated program of the part space and exhibition made the event proceeding uninterruptedly.

The inclusion of local business enterprises. Making photo frame, we discuss many creative possibility with the business owner, we truly appreciate the local craftmenship.

Although AAD, KMITL is an open campus where students from different majors interact daily, there has been a tendency for ideas to remain confined within specific disciplines due to a lack of space and activities that encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration. However, the continuous exchange of ideas has led to collaboration, culminating in the formation of "KangKeun," initially established as a collective of art and design students and later evolving into a studio. The idea for the event stemmed from our shared interest in print media. Drawing on our individual experiences and connections within event organizing networks, we gained valuable insights and advice to develop an event that reflects current trends and appeals to our target audience: university students. KangKeun harnesses the resourcefulness and skills of each member to create a dynamic event that brings together art and design students.

Print Culture When digital culture has close the gap between human, we want to revive back a physical interaction of people.

Amidst the prevalence of digital communication, the print-media exhibition provides a platform for participant to rediscover the joy of face-to-face interaction.

By showcasing a diverse array of print media artworks, including zines, book designs, printmaking, and posters, the event encourages visitors to engage with the tangible beauty of physical objects.

As society becomes increasingly reliant on digital platforms for communication and entertainment, the exhibition offers a refreshing alternative—a chance to step away from screens and immerse oneself in the tactile world of print. Through interactive experiences and opportunities to connect with artists, attendees are invited to explore the rich possibilities of human interaction.

In a world where digital technology has revolutionized the way we communicate, "Constructivism" reminds us of the inherent value of physical interaction. By bridging the gap between the digital and physical realms, the exhibition celebrates the timeless allure of print media as a medium for fostering meaningful connections and shared experiences.

the uni day In AAD, KMITL, you could seen different fashion styles by walking in the campus. students have fun with their mix&match. This speaks of their creativity both in styling & design.

During the rainy season of 2022, KangKeun convened to Showcase student’s work discuss a prevailing trend observed on campus: student attire. Fashion emerged as an embodiment of students' creativity, expressed through their clothing choices and adaptive mix-and-match styles. We aimed to foster this creativity, which enlivens and brightens our community.

Our plan involved designing a sequence of spaces for a runway, while ensuring the continuation of key programs such as the photobooth, exhibitions, and merchant booths.

To cultivate an atmosphere that inspires creativity in clothing and fashion, the exhibition showcases student works related to fashion, serving as a source of inspiration for attendees. These works extend beyond those of KMITL students, encompassing contributions from fashion students at various universities. The event's high level of exposure to visitors makes the exhibition compelling, offering a diverse array of artworks including jewelry, accessories, photosets, and clothing designs.

Through the fusion of diverse genres and DJ Tulwai's visionary contributions along with more inviting DJs; DJ Wataru from Japan, DJ Elias from Russia and DJ Momo, our event became a beacon of creativity and inclusivity

In our event, we introduced a diverse range of electronic music genres like drum'n bass, techno, and house. DJ Tulwai, a prominent figure in Thailand's alternative music scene, was exclusively invited, electrifying the crowd with his unique sounds. The event expanded the boundaries of music within the AAD community at KMITL, inspiring students to embrace fresh and new tunes. Through the fusion of diverse genres and DJ Tulwai's visionary contributions along with more inviting DJs; DJ Wataru from Japan, DJ Elias from Russia and DJ Momo, our event became a beacon of creativity and inclusivity. As the echoes of our electrifying music party lingered, we knew we had succeeded in uniting community of fashion people through the power of music.

It celebrates individuals who contribute to the school's vibrant atmosphere of fashion expression. Before the event, a team of photographers roams the campus, capturing candid portraits of students, documenting their unique styles and personalities. These photographs serve as a testament to the diverse and dynamic student body, reflecting current trends and lifestyles. Through this initiative, the event not only promotes inclusivity and self-expression but also strengthens the sense of community and belonging within the campus.

The concept of being unveiled or seen is inherent in the fashion runway, so we organized a mini runway for participants to catwalk from the second floor to the first floor while visitors observed from their seats, creating an engaging and interactive experience.

Open to all, it encourages self-expression through clothing, fostering a sense of community. “Bangkok local hip-hop artist spreading their rhytm on thier type of Bangkok. ” In this event, KangKeun was invited by Bangkok Island, a floating bar deck on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

Initially, we envisioned Bangkok Island as an ideal spot to enjoy music while taking in the scenic river views. Inspired

by Bangkok's vibrant atmosphere, we decided to convey the city's essence through typography design. Bangkok's diversity intrigued us, and typography offered a unique way to depict artists' interpretations of the city. The event featured typography design projections, music performances, and merchant booths. We invited local Hip-Hop artists to share their perspectives on Bangkok through their music, complementing the DJ's beats. Against the backdrop of Bangkok's skyscrapers and energetic city sounds, Bangkok Island transformed into a microcosm of the city itself. The event successfully captured Bangkok's essence, sparking curiosity among visitors about their own perceptions of the city.

“Illustration of KangKeun’s type of Bangkok, it embodied the fruitfulness of the city and rich culture & heritage. ” The typography of Bangkok serves as a representation of how typographic artists interpret the city. It captures the dynamic movement and energy of Bangkok itself. Similarly, Hip-Hop music reflects the realities of urban life, with its rhythms resonating with the hustle culture of the fast-paced city. The combination of typography and Hip-Hop performances complements each other seamlessly. The illustrations crafted by KangKeun offer a shared perspective of Bangkok, guiding us through the event's journey from start to finish.

They serve not only to communicate the event's vibe but also as a tangible outcome. These graphic elements embody the rich heritage and culture of Thailand, featuring iconic symbols such as Thai motifs and Tuk Tuks. In essence, KangKeun's contributions have broadened our creative horizons from Ladkrabang to encompass the vibrant essence of Bangkok.
