Thisyear,weare supportingthe developmentofa communitylibrarythat willalsoserveasagross motorplayarea.Designed byavolunteerarchitect, anuncleofoneofourPK students,thisspacewill fosterlearning,creativity, andplay.Thefundswill gotowardshelving, storage,paint,anda cataloguingsystem,while woodenfruitcrates paintedbyourfamilies willberepurposedas bookshelves.
APRENDOCONTIGO: BRINGINGEDUCATION ANDHOPE
Thisyear,ourPKArtExhibitionproudlysupportedAprendo Contigo,alocalNGOthathelpschildrenwithsevereillnesses continuetheireducationwhileinthehospital.Through NewtonCollege’sCommunity,Action,andServiceProgramme (CAS),UpperSchoolstudentsMicaelaandVictorialeadour partnershipwithAprendoContigo.
ThefundsraisedfromtheexhibitionwillhelpAprendoContigo purchasematerialsfortheirsummerrecreationalandartistic activities,bringingjoytothechildrentheyservein3hospitalsand 3sheltersinLima.Theseactivitiesprovidecreativeand therapeuticopportunitiesthatthechildrengreatlyenjoyduring thesummermonths.
