"This is a 250mm pipe elbow for slurry underflow discharge from cyclone to an open launder.
The 80mm hole wear caused slurry to leak onto walkway below. Since the plant is continuously running, multiple Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandages were applied until a permanent repair is done."
"There was a 250mm mining hose that had worn down very thin and was starting to leak slurry, upon inspection the pipe was very thin throughout the entire section. The new pipe that was ordered to replace it was far too short therefore, we were running out of options. To keep the mill running and to buy some time to re-order the new mining hose, 36 boxes of Rapp-it were used on the entire pipe to limp it through to the next shutdown. Mission successful."
"This was a slurry line, and the hole was around the size of a 20-cent coin."
"This was a 400nb pipe. Rapp-it was applied on a thickener underflow pump, pumping hot acidic slurry. Always happy with the “Rapp”."
"The pipe is 300mm and the valve body had worn through so by encasing it in Rapp-it it’s contained until a time it can be repaired without stopping production."
"The pipe in question is a 10" discharge line feeding onto our final product conveyor. It is at a lithium mine in WA, Australia. The ore is highly abrasive and creates a short life span for our plant. Luckily, we have Rapp-it!Without your product we would face massive downtime issues that we just couldn't afford. After a short walk around our plant, you would quickly see just have much we rely on your product and can't speak highly enough of it!"
"The size of the pipe is 250mm and has our under-flow product running through it 24/7 which is a course material of approx. 2mm rocks, water and mud. Due to the nature of the product, the speed & pressure it goes through this pipe it often wears out and we must bandage it sometimes more than 2 times a day. The leaks are really all over the pipe and usually are around 3cm in diameter they create a horrible mess that can sometimes take hours to clean up depending on how long it’s gone unnoticed. Everyday I am so grateful that there is a product like yours out there Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandages are quick and easy to apply, and we believe that once dried they are more effective than the pipe we use for this job. We estimate that there has been more than 300 bandages applied to this pipe in alone in the last 2 months and there is another one just like it with probably just as many. I am always happy with the outcome this products produces it really makes my job so much easier I really don’t know what we’d do without you guys!"
"The pipe repaired was a 300mm tailings underflow pipe in a coal washery. The pipes used for transferring all the smaller reject to the tailings dam. It usually has about 600kpa going through it 24/7 but at times depending on what coal we are washing it can reach pressures up too 1000kpa. Which this repair has seen a few times. The leak was on a bend just off the pump which had worn through the basalt lining then the metal outer casing. With the repair I used the metal putty supplied and patched the hole up then used 4 of the bandages just to make sure it held on and didn’t let go. A week later and it’s still going strong.
As always very happy with the result of Rapp-it. I have used it on numerous repairs around the plant. Always a quick and reliable fix to minimize down time."
"The repair was a rubber sleeve and rap around the poly-pipe, the elbow burst due to wear and tear. The pipe lives in a coal handling processing plant and runs coal fines and water through it, we patched it over 18 months ago and it has held beautifully and even past the date of pipe replacement. So, the elbow was replaced yesterday due to a planned change out. We use the Rapp-it wraps all over the plant on all different sorts of pipes and airlines. They work amazingly and we love them."
"This pipe was an infeed to 12/10 pump in a wash plant had blown a 100mm hole in pipe and water was going everywhere and pump was sucking air. This pump supply's water to the screens, so we couldn't have any down time. A quick fix with 3 Rapp-it bandages and she was working again.
And we are happy with the way it worked."
"This is one of our highpressure process water lines. It’s a 10" pipe that had rusted out over time and eventually started to blow out. These are the kind of leaks that if we don’t find a solution to fix, we need to shutdown the processing plant. Rapp-it has actually been on there for about two weeks now since I’ve done it so it’s holding good!"
"The pipe that is in the picture is a water effluent line for two feed tanks. The said pipe has blown out a few times but the Rapp-it works a treat as usual. The pipe size is 200mm.
I am extremely happy with the result every time we use your product."
"There was a hole about 150mm long by about 10mm wide, it took 4 RAP304 Rapp-it Bandages.
The pipe is 450mm PE and was simply worn away by the aggregate in water and very happy with the result."
"The repair was an 200mm poly under flow line that had some wear that was causing holes/ splits in the line.
To save on downtime we used 18 Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandages and we are really happy with the results."

"The pipe that was fixed was 80mm and it had a hole that was leaking water and particulate."
"We use these bandages all the time to put on holed out pipes to get us through till the next shutdown as the coal process plant can’t be shutdown for a leak. The pipe was about 400mm diameter and made of poly-pipe. That pipe will be replaced in 3 weeks. Fingers crossed it holds up till then."
"If it wasn't for Rapp-it keeping our plant running we would go broke. The repair was the main water supply line to our screen spray waters. It is a 4" line that burst a hole size of a cricket ball causing a loss off flow to the screen sprays that clean fesi of our product without the screen sprays we can not recover the fesi and at 7k a tonne it would be considerable but wrapping it fixed the problem without any plant downtime. Very happy with result."
"This was a water leak with a 35mm hole on a 350mm diameter water pipe."
"This repair was on a pipe connected to a sump pump and it had a massive blow out, we could not replace the pipe, so used Rapp-it instead and it hasn't failed since.
It was a great outcome."
our hot molasses. It split a weld and spilled over 10ton of product in the holding tank. Thankfully, we had some Rapp-it on hand to fix it...
And very happy with the result. Thank you so much Rapp-it, we will be buying more to keep on hand.
"This was a 4” pipe used as a drain off a vacuum pump for the cooling water. The pipe had completely snapped off the flange. It also had a crack above the flange which was difficult to wrap as there is a cable tray next to it. This was all done off a ladder with a harness on."
"Just a quick Rappit to stop water leaking on the walkway below.
Pipe is about 4" diameter and is just a water pipe for hose down water.
Stopped the leak by 99% and will get us though till we can replace the pipe."
"Due to the recent floods in Brisbane city, we found the main storm-water drain completely submerged with in water. Once remedial works we’re able to be undertaken, we found all joins in the 600mm storm pro pipe leaking. We used Rapp-it on all leaking joints to get us over the line. No more leaks!"
"The pipe is a 4" water pipe which distributes water throughout the sugar mill. In this case, this water goes to the sprayers on the milling train. A water leak appeared on the elbow of the pipe and Rapp-it was used and worked like a charm. It’s very quick and easy to use and most importantly, very effective. We are very happy with the result!"
"Needed to repair a brake cooling pipe on a Cat 789d dump truck. Couldn't source a pipe so used Rapp-it to get it through until the next shutdown. Awesome product use all the time where these pipes rust out from coal exposure."
"Holed pipes are never fun, but Rapp-it lets the slurry run!
The operators called up with a blown zinc slurry effluent water line, the water was shooting about 10 meters in the air and making a mess. I used a 9m version of your repair bandage and wrapped the failed pipe. The temporary repair has worked perfectly, and the spool will be replaced this week. Very happy with the repair and the equipment is back in operation."
"It’s roughly 3.5” pipe, carries dust from the mineral sand processing from our bag-house to the silo for disposal.
There was a hole roughly the size of a 20c piece causing dust to come out when air was purged through the line.
Using the putty and bandage we have created enough of a seal to get us by until we can shut it down to repair the leak. Very happy with your product made for a super quick temporary repair to something that could have potential shut down operations due to environmental factors.
Recommend this fabulous product and will definitely make sure I have some at home, in the car and camper just in-case."
"Used Rapp-it to patch a hole in the limestone ring main.
6” pipe that had a 5mm hole due to the contamination in the limestone. Over time rocks were in the line and created the hole.
We used the Steel Putty and Rapp-it Bandage for temporary measures, and we are happy with the result."
"Setting up our ropes then abseiling down into a hard to reach location to wrap a leaking pipe spool to get the plant back online. Always an easy task with Rapp-it!
The repair was on a rubber lined steel pipe that had worn thin and blown a hole in the wall. It carries copper concentrate at about 110mm outside diameter.
Very happy with the results, we do lots of pipe wraps with your product some of them on much larger pipes at about 500mm diameter."
"Can't fault Rapp-it at all; works a charm for all applications.
We had a blow out on our shear pump discharge pipe, the hole was about 9-10" long by 3" wide on a 200mm pipe. We covered the hole in linatex and used three 100mm Rapp-it Bandages.
Worked a treat."
"We recently had a major leak on one of our external hydrants. This was an issue because it was a Friday afternoon and we had no way of organizing an plumber for a full repair until next week. Luckily we had some Rapp-it on site and we were able to temporarily isolate the supply. It worked a treat and stopped the leak! Now we have time to plan in a future repair when it suits us."
"This repair was done on a burst Poly elbow."
"The pipe is a knelson bypass line containing high pressure slurry. The Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandage completely stopped the leak from the hole that formed there until another pipe was able to be made up."
"This repair was on a saunders valve on a feed line that was worn out in the body section. By applying Rapp-it to the valve, it saved the plant over 6 hours in downtime by having to come off-line and replace. The valve can now be scheduled in for replacement during planned outage. This is a 150mm pipe carrying process slurry at a pressure of 325kPa and ambient temperature. We have been more than happy with the result and will continue to utilise Rappit as a "get out of jail free"card."
"This repair was on a 150mm pipe, which was a slurry discharge line.
I am very satisfied with the Rapp-it repair, as it stopped the water leakage."
"The repair was on a 4" stainless line that had cracked, and we weren't able to repair it straight away. So we chose to 'Rapp-it' and make a new piece to install at a later date.
The pipe has wet gluten that goes through it and was making a mess, so we used Rapp-it and it worked so I was happy with the result.
We recommend Rapp-it for any temporary repairs."
