We are dancing our way into Spring with our latest collection, Brolga Lane. In our most diverse range to date, we are a touch more playful, yet remain true to the classic quality ella & sunday is known for.

This season we have dived deeper into sourcing new & unique fabrics. In doing so we have been led down a path we didn’t know we were meant to walk. We are proud to support the role of women in the textile industry both locally & abroad.

Our collection features hand loomed fabric from our collaboration with the incredible organisation, Women Weave, and more stunning handmade pieces from the beautiful ladies at The Stitching Project.

Just like the Brolga’s dance, each print designed by both local and international creatives, are an intricate balance between elegance & bold statements. Artist, Julie Harrison of @patternplaystudio caught our eye with her use of florals, watercolours and contemporary graphic style. We have revisited Jos Proust’s @jos_proust Grevillea adding a natural base on soft textured linen, & discovered a talented German surface designer, Dani Obst @daniobst of Hüllenpoesie, with an eye for playful repeating patterns.

At ella & sunday we love colour, attention to detail, natural fibres & styling that stands the test of time. Adventure into the wilderness with our Spring Summer Collection, Brolga Lane.

Women Weave is an incredible organisation based in Central India supporting the role of women in bespoke handloom weaving. The fabrics are unique. Many yarns have been hand spun from organic cottons and loomed with the utmost care & attention. In assisting these amazing women, we provide them with new pathways towards education, financial independence & friendship.

The Stitching Project is an amazing social enterprise run by fellow Aussie, Fiona Wright. Through the education of local Rajasthani women, together they create beautiful, handmade textiles. Offering equal pay, many of these rural women are earning a wage for the first time in their lives, providing them with new pathways towards friendship & financial independence. The garments are unique using handloomed, unbleached, natural fibres. Many have been hand printed and hand stitched with a contemporary twist. We hope you love the designs we have created through our collaboration with @the_stitching_project
