Priorities

Everyone here today has priorities. This could be having the Grand Champion Holstein in our Central New York Holstein Show.

Some may have priorities in making a great amount of money and being successful.

Everyone would like to see their family becoming successful.

Maybe seeing their children and grandchildren is a big priority.

When all of these priorities come together, one jumps out into first place.

Your health, without it you have nothing. You have to take care of it and not put it on the back shelf. I thought I could do without it, and the “Energizer Bunny” would just keep working. But when you end up in the hospital, and they start giving you blood, and the Doctors don’t know where you are bleeding from on the inside, it is really scary!

This happened to me two weeks before our 2014 show. But with great family, good friends, and God, I got better. Remember before anything else you plan on doing, don’t forget your health and God.

Rules and Regulations

(as suggested by P.D.C.A. recommendations) 1. The show committee shall reserve the right to interpret all rules and regulations of the show.

2. Title of ownership is as the registration paper reads on show day. Juniors must show their own animals.

3. All exhibitors must be a member of the participating county holstein clubs.

4. Each exhibitor will be assigned a number, which must be displayed at all times when showing, to identify the exhibitor.

5. A Best Udder will be awarded each of the Classes 11 through 18 and a Best Udder of the show will be awarded at the conclusion of the Cow Classes.

6. Best three females - Animals exhibited must be bred and owned by the exhibitor.

Papers will be checked at ringside.

7. Premier Breeder — Senior Division — to the breeder winning the most points on not to exceed five animals in the open single classes exhibited by himself and/or others. When determining Premier Breeder, the breeder of the animal shall be designated the name of the breeder appearing on the registry certificate. To receive credit for animals bred by you but shown by others, the clerk must be notified before the end of the show. Points shall be determined as follows: 1

8. Premier Exhibitor — Senior Division — to the exhibitor winning the most points on not to exceed five animals in the open single classes exhibited by himself. When determining Premier Exhibitor, the name of the exhibitor of the animal shall be designated the name of the owner appearing on the registry certificate. Points shall be determined as in Premier Breeder.

9. Premier Breeder and Exhibitor in Junior Division will be based on three animals owned by Exhibitor.

Again this year, there will be showmanship classes for the junior exhibitors in the follow age groups: 12 and under; age 13 - 16; age 17 and older. Any and all junior exhibitors are invited and encouraged to enter this class. There is no additional fee and the entrant may use any animal of their own as long as the animal is entered in another class in the show.
