introduction
"Design
Is Thinking Made Visual" Saul
Bass (1920-1996)
Design is a thought process, and final thoughts are seen in the final design. And it is also a unique way of constructing life itself socially and culturally. Something that goes beyond the mere embellishment of reality.
What it is about is to put into discussion the very game of the creative act. And why not, execute a kind of allegory of love.
Love for movies. Love for art. Love for design. Deliver part of what you are (and what is missing). That is perhaps what Moviefy stands for. An ebook-experience, or a contemplative experience in ebook format.
An adventure that simply began with a series of posts designed for social networks, and that today becomes a publication designed for the general public, interested in adding another artistic vision to a more than popular genre.
We have used all our synthesis skills in a memorable series of 103 movie posters, reimagined and reinvented at the light of the Swiss style, combining the ultra rationality of form, the meaning of color, the use of symbols and images, and emotions generated by unraveling each proposal.
Moviefy includes several films from our own film library, and free graphic design exercises for both auteur classics and more commercial proposals. And we deliver it in digital format, to make it more accessible to all curious and colleagues.
We hope you enjoy these pieces of ourselves, just as we enjoy spreading them on the tides of virtual time.
