I want to start by saying “Thank You” it has been a challenging year but very productive for Ramey by ensure that our students and center is always on Top. Ramey finished the first 6 months of the current PY 2022 Ranking # 16 in the Nation. We had a return winter break rate of 100%. Thanks to all the staff that were following up with all our students during the winter break. Also a special thanks to our students for believing in Ramey Job Corps and our commitment to enhance their future.
What will be going on during the month of January?
Let me tell you that we are having a great start;
OBS Goal; we are on point with our OBS Planed goal. This is thanks to all the efforts done by ALL staff that were working with outreach throughout the island during the Winter break. Let’s not lose our focus and continue with the recruitment to reach the establish OBS goal of 395. “WE CAN DO IT TEAM”
Our OA / CTS staff are working with various activates to continue promoting the center. Be on the look out for the next Open House.
I encourage all staff to referral at least one students so we can continue to build our OBS. You will receive an incentive under our “ Referral a Friend” initiative.
New Partnership efforts;
o We have achieved an MOU with “TREMCO” this is a roofing company.
o We have achieved an MOU with “Melpro Group” they are a construction and Solar Company.
o An MOU has been Draft with LUMA energy, this will impact all trades with opportunity to do WBL practice and job opportunity for the reconstruction of Puerto Rico; Thanks to the follow-up Mr. Jaime Martinez did.
We had the opportunity to send (for the first time) student Gabriel Perez to North Texas JC for their New Advance Mechanic Aviation trade; Thanks to our Auto Trade instructor, Mr. Jose Suarez and Case Evaluator, Nathalie Badillo.
We had the opportunity to send our first Work Placement transfer student to Oregon Correctional facilities; student Owen Nuñez. Thank to our Safety & Protection Trade instructor, Mr. Wilfredo Velez and Case Evaluator, Nathalie Badillo.

o Welcome back activities
o Participation on a TV game show
o Exhibition of exotic animals; an initiative of our science class instructor, Ms. Aracelis Arroyo.
